Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 7 – “The hands that protect”

hands mohanji

We conclude Chapter 7 of Mohanji Satcharita with this soul-stirring sharing by our dear Preeti Duggal. This experience shows that we may forget our beloved Parabrahma by succumbing to mind games but He never forgets us. As Mohanji says, “I am always with you, holding your hand!”

Please read our earlier stories published in Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 7.

The hands that protect

by Preeti Duggal

Due to some reason, I was very upset for the past two days. Tears kept flowing down on their own as if they knew my pain. Yesterday I felt as if I was all alone in this world and no one really understood me. This thought depressed and alienated me further from everyone. I felt mentally exhausted with the intensity of these thoughts and suddenly I had the urge to lie down. As soon as I was in bed, I slept and rapidly went into a dream state.

What I describe here is the conversation that took place between Mohanji and I. In hindsight, it was not a dream at all, but an astral event that took place to help me understand the deeper meaning of my pain.

hands

I saw myself with Mohanji. He was sitting as usual on His chair and I was on the floor next to Him. He took my hand and held it between His. I saw tears in His eyes and He said, “I really feel sad from inside when my people are unhappy. Everyone must go through the grinding of karma in this world, but don’t worry I’m always by your side holding your hand. You’re never alone as I am always walking along with you.” Suddenly my eyes opened, and it took me a couple of seconds to realize where I was. After waking up, I immediately felt better and did not feel depressed.

“Karma is not punishment oriented. It is accountability oriented. You are accountable for all your deeds, including all thoughts, words, and actions.” – Mohanji

In the evening I went to see Mohanji at the ashram as I do every day. He was surrounded by people, so I prostrated at His feet and went into the kitchen to get His dinner ready. About half an hour later, Aishwarya, our beautiful daughter in the ashram went to ask Him about dinner. He responded, “Whenever Duggal is ready with it.” I went up to Him and informed Him that the dinner was ready and served. He called everyone to eat with Him. By sharing food, He expresses His love and showers blessings on everyone visiting Him at the ashram.

unconditional love

After dinner, He came to me and said, “Thank you Duggal for everything that you do for us, you are the heart of this house.” When I glanced into His eyes, they gave me the same reassurance that I had in the morning. I said, “Mohanji, if I am the heart then you are the heartbeat, without which there is no existence, we are dead.” At that moment, I felt like falling at His feet and thanking Him for everything He does for us. He never shows His magnanimity and is always humble. On the other hand, we want importance and acknowledgement for every little thing we do. When He says, I am with you, He delivers and stays true to His word. Thank you Mohanji for always holding my hand and taking me through this cycle called life. I surrender every breath at your lotus feet.

“When I say, “I’m with you” I mean it. Because I don’t need the body to be with you.”

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 7 – “New Dawn of Acceptance and Realization”

mind and silence

“Mind is the only true examination that one must pass in a lifetime. The rest are all class tests that time provides to test your strength and endurance capacity. They do not have permanent value. – Mohanji”

Featured in Mohanji Satcharita chapter 7, Suvarna Singh shares an amazing experience on how it took her a while to recognise the examination called mind that was keeping her puzzled for some time. When she crossed over this examination, she realised the grace and blessings that were there in abundance with her!

New Dawn of Acceptance and Realization

by Suvarna Singh

I write this post from the flight back to South Africa after being in India for a few days from the 5th of February 2019.

From the very beginning, this trip was very challenging for me in so many ways!  There was so much grace that allowed the whole pilgrimage to take place; otherwise, I never would have imagined being at the Kumbh Mela with Mohanji, taking dips in the Ganges (holy river), participating in a Homa (fire ritual) or being a part of satsangs.  How could I have been so blessed? Despite all the grace that poured through the entire pilgrimage, I felt very agitated, lost, hurt and angry.  There was deep pain buried within me, that leashed out as I arrived at Dubai airport after leaving Delhi.  I cried for about 20 minutes and felt tremors of hurt deep within me. Somehow in depth of the pain, I felt relieved and had a chance to reflect on my silliness about the whole situation and found temporary clarity at that moment.

Human Mind

Two thoughts were running through my mind about this journey, which I never anticipated. First, I felt the urge to go back to South Africa as soon as possible and not even be a part of the pilgrimage. Second, I realized there is much work ahead of me on this path of liberation. From my experience thus far, I know everything Mohanji does is for our best interest and growth, but even having this knowledge, didn’t make things easier for me as my ego was bruised for reasons not worth mentioning.  I questioned my place here on Earth and my self-worth. It was more of a painful realization because it was only with His grace, was I able to take part in the Kumbh Mela and visit places such as Vaishno Devi and Varanasi.

mohanji-quote-accept-yourself-the-way-you-are

Having these thoughts on my mind, I boarded the plane back to South Africa.  On the seat next to me was an elderly couple from Kerala (they reminded me of Mohanji, since He is from the same state) who needed help finding a movie in Malayalam 🙂. I helped them and later in the flight, the elderly man next to me fell asleep soundly.  At that moment, something hit me hard and I felt immense gratitude for all that I had experienced during the holy pilgrimage.  Mohanji always speaks about acceptance!  It was just a word to me but at that moment, I felt what it truly meant.  I realized the depth of the message contained in that one WORD.  When I reflected on my journey and my feelings, there was a whole lot of ‘I’, ‘me’, ‘my’ and I could hear Mohanji’s voice loudly saying: “Who is this I?”  The mind has such power to make us feel things that we try to hide or ignore. This realization triggered more emotions in me and brought up situations that I needed to become aware of.  In the end, it was all Mohanji’s grace that allowed me to know what I needed to know and when I needed to know it.  He is always there, holding my hand and guiding me.  I love you Mohanji.

Much gratitude at your lotus feet.

Mohanji light

In this 7th Chapter of Mohanji Satcharita, we share another experience from a devotee on divine protection. At times when we are battered by the storms of life, the only anchor we can turn to is our Guru or God. When we have complete faith and devotion, His presence, guidance and grace will help us overcome the trials and tribulations of life. He will hold our hand and help us face difficulties with courage. Mageswari shares with us some of her most difficult times and how Mohanji’s love and protection helped her face and accept these situations.

In Chennai, volunteers have been conducting the Power of Purity meditation at a cancer hospital every Sunday, since July 8th, 2018. This recount is by a patient who is getting healed through the power of this meditation. Here is a translation of her audio in Tamil.

By Mageswari, Chennai, India

Namaste. My name is Mageswari and I come from Thoothukudi. I am a 40 year old cancer patient.  In 2016, I had cancer in my colon. An open surgery was carried out to remove the cancer and then a colostomy bag was placed in position. After the big operation in 2016, another big operation was done in 2017. When I went for a check-up in 2018, they told me again that there was a tumour in the lungs. Through biopsy, it was found to be a malignant tumour and they gave me chemotherapy.

Mageswari and her mother
Mageswari in meditation (in green)

One Sunday in February 2019, while on chemotherapy, I participated in Mohanji’s Power of Purity meditation. At a certain time during the meditation, He guides us to thank all the people whom we like, and also those we dislike. This helps us develop positive thinking.  At that time, I had a friend who suddenly refused to talk to me and told me that she wouldn’t come to my home anymore.  My parents felt very bad and they were wondering what to do as this person refused to come home.  I was in the hospital and my parents at home. A day after the meditation, I told my parents that God will take care.  Two days later, that person came home to talk to my parents.  I believe this happened only because of the meditation blessings.

Mohanji on thought

As I had a problem in the lungs, the doctors told me that the lungs had developed an infection.  There was blood in my phlegm all the time.  During the meditation, I placed this request to God – that I should not get this again. Doctors were unable to diagnose why the phlegm had blood.  They did cytology tests, microbiology tests, an ultrasound scan, and a CT scan, but no report gave a proper solution.  But in prayer, when I prayed sincerely from my heart to God, to look into my health, the next day itself blood stopped coming in my phlegm.  I am healthy now.

The following Sunday, for the second time, when the volunteers came for the meditation, I prayed that there should be a cure for cancer. Like old times, this world should have peace and a natural situation should prevail. Just like how our grandparents led healthy lives 20 years back, the world should be free of life-threatening diseases such as cancer and AIDS. We should live together as joint families. The world should be saved from all this quickly. I have faith that my Guru will fulfill my wishes soon. Thank you. Namaste.

The Guru’s protective umbrella

Mohanji

This testimonial by Manjiri Bhalerao reiterates Mohanji’s protection to people connected to Him at all times, whichever part of the world they are in. Enjoy the two narratives about Mohanji helping Manjiri in her hour of distress and making a major accident turn into a milder one with His grace.

Guru’s protective umbrella at all times

By Manjiri Bhalerao, Canada

The following prayer conveys my sincere feelings for my Gurudev, Brahmarishi Mohanji.

Tvameva Mata Ch Pita Tvameva. (You are mother and father to me)

TvamevaBandhush-CaSakhaTvameva. (You are my only relative and friend)

TvamevaVidyaaDravinnamTvameva. (You are my wisdom and my wealth)

TvamevaSarvam Mam Deva Deva. (You are everything to me, my Lord)

I would like to share my experience of Mohanji’s grace and protection twice within a year. Both the times, my husband Mahesh was travelling and was away from home.

The first incident happened when Mohanji was in Brazil in April 2018. Mahesh was also travelling with Mohanji in Brazil and I was in Toronto with my kids.

In the Toronto Yoga Conference, where Mohanji Foundation Canada had a booth, I was going to volunteer in that booth. Just couple of days prior to this programme, I had a mishap at home that brought to me yet another incidence of how Mohanji was protecting me. On this day, I was to cook food for the kids and placed a pan on the stove. I poured oil into the pan and as the oil turned hot, before I knew what was happening, my left hand brushed against the handle of the pan and the pan toppled upside down. The entire hot oil in the pan splashed on my leg and foot. Out of the pain from hot oil and more so from the fear of impact on my ability to volunteer for the programme, I cried out to Mohanji! It was just so spontaneous to reach out to my Gurudev in my distress situation. While chanting “Jai Mohanji, Jai Mohanji” in my mind, I held my foot under water and then applied an ointment for burns on it. With the amount of hot oil that came on my feet, I would have surely got blisters. But to my amazement, I got no blisters. Just dark patches of burns in my foot. So the next day when I had to travel for the Yoga event, I was able to put on my shoes and could travel there and was able to volunteer as planned earlier. Needless to say, had the injury been more serious I would not have been able to put on shoes and travel to the location in an unusually cold April in Toronto. I realised how Mohanji took care of everything. A potential big mishap just ended with a minor incident and I was able to  accomplish my commitment. This incident was verified by Mohanji when Mahesh spoke to Him about it.

The second incident happened recently in January 2019. It was a usual cold winter afternoon in Toronto. Three devotees (Alpa, Parmeshji, and Geetaji) and I were returning from Mohanji Datta Tapovan Ashram, Amaranth after attending Sai Vrat Katha (story of Sai). It was the first month when we had started conducting this monthly ritual in the ashram. I was supposed to drop Alpa at her place in Brampton, and then head back home after dropping Geeta and Parmesh on the way in Scarborough. It was decided that before dropping Alpa, we would deliver Sai Vrat Katha prasad at a Sai devotees’ place in Brampton. As we were on our way, Alpa told me to drop her at her place and she would deliver the prasad herself as I was getting late. I was not familiar with the roads, so Alpa told me to change the lane and take a right turn. As I was about to do it, my car collided with another white car coming from behind. It happened so suddenly and the other car (which was also driven by a lady) halted several meters away. We were all dazed by the sudden impact. We got down from the car and inspected the damage. With Mohanji’s grace, my car was damaged minimally on the front right side. Nothing happened to the passengers sitting on the right side in my car and the other lady driver whose car was damaged was also surprisingly calm. Her car was damaged quite extensively on the left side, including damaged doors and mirrors.

M-family members Ketan and Manisha came to the location to help me with the formalities after the collision. Gauravji (whose house we were supposed to drop the prasad) also came twice to the location to talk to the lady and her husband (who came later). We were out in the cold standing for quite some time discussing the next steps, and after making a few calls to Mahesh in India (who was with Mohanji in Bangalore), we decided to go to the collision centre.

While I was still going through the formalities, I understood that It was Mohanji’s grace that we escaped unhurt with minimal damage to car. Not only this, Mohanji made sure that I was not alone during this incident. Alpa, Ketan, Manisha, Geeta, and Parmesh were all with me till we finished the formalities, which took a couple of hours after the collision. Everyone was tired after a long day (ashram vrat pooja and the collision). Manisha promptly went and bought hot coffee for all of us and we all departed. They also called me later to make sure I had reached home safely. As I thought of this accident, I couldn’t thank Mohanji enough for protecting us, looking after us and comforting us.

When Mahesh recounted this incident to Mohanji in India, before he could say anything, Mohanji said He knew what had happened and asked Mahesh what he wanted to say. He had taken care of everything. This incident taught me to be more mindful and careful in the future, though Guru’s protection is always there.

My heart is full of immense gratitude to my Guru Mohanji, for being with us and protecting us at all times. Words are not enough to express my gratitude and writing a testimonial is one of the ways where I can express my gratitude to Him. When He says, “I am with you,” He makes sure we are under His protective shield (kavach) and saves us from any storm in our lives. Only by living His teachings can we fully express our gratitude. My salutations (koti koti pranaams) to my Guru Mohanji and the entire Guru Mandala for showering us with grace and blessings. My prostrations (sashtanga namaskar) and deepest gratitude for everything ‘O Gurudev!’

The above picture shows Para Brahma giving me prasad during Pranapratishta at Mohanji Datta Tapovan Ashram, Canada.

I am truly humbled, grateful beyond words O Gurudev, Oh Mohanji! (Baba), THANK YOU so much for EVERYTHING, a million times.

Bless us all to live our lives with your teachings.

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 7 – “Conscious Dancing – A stairway to higher consciousness”

Mohanji always assures us of His presence and guidance in various ways both physically and astrally! His omnipresence can be felt through dreams, in visions, during meditations and chanting, while in the midst of a chore or an activity, during conscious walking and in almost all aspects of our lives. Shyama Jeyaseelan had a divine vision of Mohanji during Conscious Dancing. Enjoy reading about this beautiful dance and rest assured in the knowledge that He is always walking with us.

Conscious Dancing – A stairway to higher consciousness

by Shyama Jeyaseelan

Mohanji’s visit to UK in August 2018 was 12 days long, but the days flew by so quickly that it felt like 12 minutes! Every moment in Mohanji’s physical presence was truly blissful. Words cannot begin to describe how precious and cherished these days have been. Cooking some of the meals for Mohanji, doing Paada puja, having Him visit our home and seeing Him sing are some of the many joyous moments I was blessed with. Having our Deviji and sweet little Mila with us was so wonderful too and I would like to share something that happened during Conscious Dancing with Deviji at the retreat.

Devi

Conscious Dancing with Deviji is always a wonderful experience as we all know. On the day that we had Conscious Dancing, I was enjoying the music and the movements while focusing on each chakra as Deviji was instructing. As we were focusing on the spine at one point, I remembered Mohanji saying focusing on the spine helps us connect to the higher consciousness.

At that moment I had a beautiful image come to my mind. I saw a long flight of stairs where my spine was, wide at the bottom (base of the spine) and becoming narrower towards the top (top of the head), leading to a small arched doorway. Half way up the stairs, I see Mohanji climbing in orange and white robes, His left arm extended and holding my right hand. Mohanji was looking over His left shoulder at me as I was also climbing the stairs, one or two steps behind Him.

Source: Google images

That image, so full of grace and unconditional love was a beautiful assurance for me that my beloved Guru is holding my hand every step of the way to the destination this soul desires. I’m truly humbled and filled with endless gratitude to Mohanji and Deviji. Thank you so much for your presence in our lives.

“When you sit down quietly, just close your eyes and feel the spine. Automatically your consciousness, your awareness will shift to the third eye, the space between the eyebrows. This is the proof. We are going beyond the normal senses to the higher dimension. Third eye is the higher dimension, it is the pathway to the higher dimension.” Mohanji

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 7 – “Mohanji – The Incarnation of Compassion”

“Mohanji – The Incarnation of Compassion”

by Nirupma Chowdhary

Mohanji’s presence in my life is indescribable! Each time I meet Him,  He says,

“Keep doing your work. I am with you”

His words motivate me to keep going.

During a recent visit to the UK, I developed severe pain in my left leg. I was not sure if it was because of a Vitamin D deficiency or my rheumatoid arthritis that had made a comeback. My blood tests did not reveal anything problematic.

I met Mohanji at the Rishikesh Retreat. Whenever I met Him, He would ask me to sit on the chair, rather than on the floor as I would be uncomfortable. I wondered why He never asked about my leg or the limp in it. As I read testimonials of many who have recovered from various illnesses,  I would think about myself and also wonder why I did not experience any relief.

mohanji homa

I work at Mohanji School of Supplementary Education for underprivileged children at Jammu. In time, my pain became worse, even walking around was difficult. It was becoming impossible to go to school. I tried to ease my pain and improve my mobility using compression socks. My husband supported me immensely by dropping and picking me up from school.

I am also a Mai-tri practitioner. While performing healing for others, my leg would hurt and it was quite ironical that I was performing healing for others, while in pain! I attributed my pain to my karma and kept going through life.

On the night of January 7th, I saw Mohanji on a chair, like a doctor, examining my leg. I was lying on a bed and appeared to be in great pain. After some time, He asked me to do yoga and added that I would be well.  As instructed, I resumed yoga and in just a few days I became free of pain! Life was normal again.

What does it mean to be Mohanji?

Mohanji was visiting Jammu and one day after a satsang, we were discussing issues relating to the school. As we were leaving, Father smilingly reminded me that I wished  to say something to Him. It was true! I told Him that my leg was well after He examined it and that I had no pain now! He said, “Go tell Chachi Revaji. She keeps complaining that I do not come to Jammu. But I am always there for all of you. I may not be here physically, but am here astrally.”

Read this  beautiful poem on Mohanji!

Blessed are we to be part of the Mohanji family. My koti koti pranaams to my Guru, who takes care of our physical and our spiritual needs!

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 7 – “Faith is the Key”

mohanji CK

by Olivera Miškić

In this series of Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 7, we bring to you a powerful testimonial from the Bosnian Pyramids (2018) by Olivera Miškić.  The Bosnian Pyramids is a powerful energy center where she understood and experienced the true meaning of Faith in a Master. Just by surrendering her doubts and fears to Mohanji, she not  only fulfilled her wish of going to the Pyramids for the Kriya Intensive programme, she also fulfilled her duties towards a close relative.

Please read other testimonials from Chapter 7 of Mohanji Satcharita.

Mohanji

I had a deep call from within to go for a  Kriya Intensive programme, in particular to Visoko. I only had a chance to feel the energy of that place during an earlier visit. What a powerful place! How powerful it must be in Mohanji’s presence! I applied immediately, as soon as it was announced and I got to know of it.

However, as life would have it, unexpected things happened. The thing that was happening in my life was extremely painful, or at least my mind wanted to perceive it that way.

Long before the retreat, I found out my aunt was terminally ill from a fast-progressing lung cancer. As the time of the retreat approached, her condition was getting worse and worse. Just before the retreat, she became bedridden. That meant she needed help 24 hours a day because she couldn’t sit or get up from the wheelchair on her own.

I had only one week to find a trustworthy person who would sleep in her house, since she lived alone. Among the close relatives, I was the only one she had.

I was hectically trying to find a solution and I would start panicking with the thought  of leaving her alone and travelling to another country for 5 days.  The question if I should go or stay was burning in my head. I found a caretaker, but she left us after a few days.

The pressure in my head was getting bigger and bigger. The main question I asked myself was: “Am I a spiritual person? Why am I going to this retreat? What is real spirituality –  when you help someone who is helpless or you wish  for one more answer, one more experience to satiate the hunger and add another piece of puzzle to your spiritual journey?”

In the end, not being able to take the decision on my own, I sat one evening looking at Mohanji’s photo and completely surrendering to Him, I said quietly: “You lead me, you know better than me! Let thy will be done.”

I found a caretaker, arranged everything with my aunt’s neighbours and set off to Visoko. I was still really nervous during the journey. My brain kept questioning if my actions were right. What if they call me to say she died and I wasn’t there with her in her last moments? I was praying she would stay alive and not die while none of her close family were around, since I knew that was her last wish.

The Kriya Intensive programme started with a satsang with Mohanji who immediately asked us: “Why are you here?” I couldn’t believe it! That was the exact question I asked myself. I had goosebumps.

mohanji and olivera

As the next day arrived, I started relaxing slowly through Kriya. I surrendered to it completely. Those were really powerful group meditations. I would sometimes feel tears spontaneously flowing down my face while we were meditating. We were lucky to do Kriya in various energy spots, as well as at the Pyramids of the Sun and of Love. Each was different. As the days were passing, I was surrendering more and more. I felt the strong Yang energy of the Pyramid of the Sun, which expelled immense anger from me. I was becoming more and more aware that I was supposed to be at that place in Visoko with the Master.

Everything culminated with the one-hour meditation in the tunnels, a hidden place where no tourist had yet set a foot. We remained in complete darkness and an image from a past life flashed before my eyes. I knew it was true. At that moment, everything became clear. I understood why I kept going through this life with a certain conviction which was only doing me harm. That revelation came peacefully, with no emotions, crystal clear. This meditation was crowned with a Shaktipat in the tunnels, which was so powerful that it seemed to me I was under its influence, in complete peace, for the rest of the retreat. The fears disappeared. I simply knew that things were going exactly the way they should and my aunt would welcome me alive. I knew I had to be there in Visoko, at the Pyramids with Mohanji, and went back to Belgrade more stable, rooted in the faith in myself and in my Guru, being able to truly help her and bring a bit of light into the last days of her life. That’s how it was. Despite the painful end of her life, I said goodbye to her in peace, with prayers and mantras, fulfilling her last wishes.

Now that I’m writing this, my aunt is no longer in this earthly dimension, but I know with certainty, deeply rooted in peace, that I was supposed to be at the Bosnian Pyramids then, in May 2018. It was a big test of faith for me and that’s why my whole being was urging me to go to that powerful place despite all the outer obstacles, and experience a huge transformation with the strong guidance from my beloved Guru, Mohanji. Now I know that everything is possible in His presence, and that everything is happening just the way it should.

At this retreat, I truly experienced and felt in my own body the truth Mohanji keeps repeating: “Faith is the key.” I realized faith is the key which unmistakably leads us to discover not what we think we are, but who we truly are.

With deep gratitude, I deeply bow in front of Your feet.
