An Eye Opening Mai-Tri Session

By Preeti Duggal

The world is reeling under the COVID pandemic. Millions are affected and many are dying. There is a huge scarcity of medicines, hospital beds, oxygen, and so on. There is chaos everywhere. The second wave has been like an explosion in India. 3 hundred thousand people are getting infected daily. The Maitri practitioners are also inundated with healing requests. Yesterday, I received a healing from a person from Delhi. A very well known figure in his profession who also works for our foundation. He had tested COVID positive and was worried about his wife and three children. He requested healing for his family. I immediately agreed.

To understand the degree of infection, we usually scan the aura of the person during the mai-tri session and look for patches that penetrate it. But what unfolded was truly an eye opener and amazing. In this session, I could see a white layer like a protection shield around the family that was saving them from the COVID effects. It looked strange because I had never seen it before. I prayed to Mohanji for clarity. I saw various animals (cows, dogs, cats, pigs, goats, and so on, encircling them and and giving them protection. These animals were absorbing all the effects of covid virus to keep the family safe. On further enquiry, it was disclosed that this family has an animal shelter on the outskirts of Delhi where they take care of abandoned, old and sick animals as their own family. Some are rescued from butchers. Some are disabled and diseased. All are well taken care of as family members. In fact, the wife knows each of them by name and the animals respond in kind to her loving attention.

It was revealed that these innocent and beautiful beings came forward to protect the family in return to what the family had done for them. This was overwhelming and I had tears rolling down my eyes. It was an eye opener. The infection level for this gentleman was very high but he has no symptoms except for low grade fever for thirty minutes three days ago. None of the other family members had any symptoms. Someone may ask why would they get infected in the first place if they were protected? Mohanji showed me that this person had fear of the pandemic which weakened his protection shield allowing the virus to enter the body easily. Now I realise why Mohanji stresses on connection to Mother Earth and its beings, and doing annadaan (food donation) for the hungry and needy.

Our misplaced ego of superiority has completely detached us from Mother Nature and our fellow beings. We torture and butcher animals for the paltry pleasure of a few mins. These innocent ones cannot even complain about the heinous torture that they have been suffering at the hands of humans for years. Animals, forests, oceans, mountains – none have been spared by humans. It’s time to wake up and look into the mirror. Nature has turned the tables on us. The fear and pain we gave and still continue to give, to the beings is coming back to us as COVID. The isolation, pain, suffering felt by these he[pless beings for years is now being felt by us for the first time. We are forcibly confined to our homes just as we confined poor helpless beings in zoos for our entertainment. The virus is almost like nature’s vengeance that has shaken the entire human world. Have you wondered why none of the other beings are affected?

Mohanji has said that we have to start walking backwards. Connect with nature and start to respect other fellow beings. Think of becoming vegan or at least vegetarian so that we eat with awareness and ensure that our food is not the cause for another being’s pain or suffering. Imagine babies being snatched away from their mothers and kept hungry so we can consume that milk and milk products. I feel that if we lose this chance, we will be left with nothing for ourselves and the coming generations.

I thank Mohanji from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful experience.

On this apt occasion of Earth day. let’s pledge to do at least one good thing for Mother Nature and its beings everyday.

Miracle at Kumbh Mela 2021

By Soma Seal, Ammucare President, India

Annadaan – feeding hungry stomachs is beyond any boundaries of species, caste and creed. When one feeds hungry beings, purification happens. This is why Annadaan is considered as Mahadaan – a donation of the highest stature. Especially when done on certain auspicious occasions, Annadaan brings immense fulfilment.

In my role as President of Ammucare, I have been fortunate to be in the middle of continuous Annadaan for a long time. Especially since the onset of the Covid pandemic, I have witnessed and observed several miracles. I would like to share one such amazing incident that happened yesterday (19/4/2021) in Haridwar, the venue for this year’s Kumbh Mela festival.

With Mohanji’s guidance, Ammucare has organised daily feeding for the Sadhus (wandering saints) at the Kumbh Mela as this is a divine opportunity to serve. Especially with the challenges due to the Covid situation, doing this seva consistently has been a challenge; several hurdles have come up. However, our determination to continue this seva (service) has been strong since Mohanji explained the purpose of this seva in clear terms. The Kumbh Mela is a special occasion when several elevated saints, otherwise deep in their sadhana in the Himalayas and elsewhere, come down to mingle with the common folk and shower their blessings.

Mohanji also guided us on the right attitude to conduct this seva – “Serve everyone like you are serving a Royal or God. The food should be of the highest quality. The attitude should be of complete reverence and respect. You never know who could be receiving your food – it could be Sai Baba, Mahavatar Babaji or any other deity. Don’t be deceived by outward appearances. Thank everyone you are serving from the bottom of your heart.”

Thanks to the dedication of our local volunteers and our generous donors, we have been serving food to people for almost ten days now. I must especially call out the contributions of Savitri Chitrapu, our Ammucare coordinator, and Mr Vasudev Sharma (Sharmaji), the Ammucare coordinator on the ground in Haridwar, in enabling this noble seva. Whenever we have not been able to serve, we have arranged for food packets to be made and distributed to people at various locations in Haridwar. Within a week, our team had managed to serve over 1000 meals.

Once we started our Annadaan at Kumbh, Mohanji advised us to serve the Sadhus at Har Ki Pauri, the most auspicious bathing Ghat in Haridwar. He guided us that saints of the highest stature would tend to congregate there, and we should not miss the opportunity to serve them. However, as we started working on this, the government imposed a weekend lockdown, and our activities were delayed.

Yesterday (on 19th April 2021), it became possible for us to arrange for this Annadaan at Har Ki Pauri. Sharmaji and a few other volunteers prepared around 100 food packets and took an auto-rickshaw (three-wheeler) to deliver this to the Sadhus at Har Ki Pauri. Sharmaji narrates his experience below.

“It was about 6 pm and getting dark. Shortly before we were about to reach the Ghat, on a quiet and dark road, we spotted a Naga Sadhu by the roadside, next to a forest area; he was calling out to us ‘Hey, where are you taking the food; bring it to us. This food is for us.’ Not taking him seriously, we turned a deaf ear and continued on our journey. However, a few moments later, our auto-rickshaw stopped, and even when we tried to push it, it would not start again. We noticed that the Naga Sadhu had come close to our auto-rickshaw and was repeating what he said earlier, “Your auto will not move forward. Food which has been sent for us cannot go to Har Ki Pauri!”

By now, we realised that this call was not to be ignored. There was something electrifying about that person. So we parked the auto-rickshaw by the side of the road, took the food packets out and followed the Naga Sadhu into the forest. As we walked deeper into the jungle, it became darker, and suddenly, the few street lights went off too. Soon we saw a group of 11 Naga Sadhus gathered there! They were waiting for the feast! They were chanting and singing songs on Lord Shiva and Lord Dattatreya

We were totally mesmerised to witness this divine atmosphere. After offering prayers, we quickly served the food packets to all the Naga Sadhus there. We took care to offer the food with respect, and the sadhus blessed us as they accepted the food. Some of them even had second servings! While serving the food, I just mentioned to them that this Annadaan was happening with the guidance and advice of Guru Mohanji.

One of the Sadhus said, “He is an Avadhoota. You will never understand him. He is beyond your comprehension and understanding. You do not know his grandeur. We know your Guru is far away, but wherever you look, you will see him. He is everywhere. Yes, he will come to Haridwar next year. Good that the food has reached us.”

I had goosebumps after I heard the Sadhus speak such high praise about Mohanji! The Sadhu then asked, ‘Where is the dakshina?’ We immediately offered dakshina (respectful offering of money) to all the Sadhus. Then one of the Sadhus said, “Child, you give us dakshina today but remember it would reach someone by tomorrow. Hmm, the food was meant for us.”

After feeding the Sadhus, we walked back to our auto-rickshaw on the road. It was very dark by now, but we were in a different world altogether, still trying to assimilate this miraculous and divine experience. The experience was not yet over, though! As soon as we started the auto-rickshaw, it started immediately, without any further push or effort. The same auto had refused to move sometime back when we were in a hurry to reach Har ki Pauri! Just as it had stopped automatically, it started automatically too!

With absolute awe and contentment, we returned home safely with just one expression – Thank you, Mohanji, for giving us this opportunity.”

When Sharmaji narrated this incident to Savitri and me, I had goosebumps too. This place is not unknown to Sharmaji or the others, but no one had spotted these Naga Sadhus there before! In fact, Sharmaji and the team went to the same location today (20/4/21) to serve the Naga Sadhus again, but there was no trace of anyone there, just a few dogs in the vicinity.

I could only then think back to several other occasions where grace has made the toughest of sevas possible – be it Annadaan or disaster relief or clothing drives or so many other activities of Ammucare. It also served to remind me of a couple of important lessons:

  1. Like many others, I may not recognise or fathom Mohanji’s stature. However, statements about his stature and grandeur from a Naga Sadhu are a timely reminder that there is much that my eyes can’t see or my mind can’t process. After all, this saint has never met us before, and neither are we likely to see him again. He is a renunciate with no interest in the material world. So what motive could he have in describing Mohanji? Perhaps it was just to open our eyes to higher dimensions and piece together facets of Mohanji’s grand plan to raise the entire Earth’s vibrations.
  2. It gave me greater clarity as to why Mohanji gives certain directions. Time and again, I have seen that his directives often seem extremely challenging at the outset. But when we take the right steps with full faith, doors open, and the road ahead becomes clearer. After all, if I had not persevered with the effort to serve at Har Ki Pauri, this entire experience might have been lost to us. This additional clarity not only helps us serve better but, more importantly, helps us receive much more grace and blessings. Before I conclude, I would like to pose a few questions for your contemplation:
  • Why was the Naga sadhu waiting by the road, just when our vehicle was to pass by?
  • Why did he stop just our vehicle? How did he know us?
  • How did the Sadhu know that food was being taken in the auto (when it was not visible from outside, and certainly not from a distance)?
  • How did he say, “This food is not meant to go to Har Ki Pauri”, when we had not told him our plans
  • Why did the auto not move at that moment but moved easily later in the evening from that same spot?
  • How did the Sadhus recognise Mohanji? Or that he is far away? (Our coordinators had not told them that Mohanji was currently in Europe)
  • What made them describe Mohanji as an Avadhoota? Was it sheer chance that they were singing songs on Lord Dattatreya, the Tradition that Mohanji represents?
  • What did he mean by saying the dakshina would reach someone by tomorrow?
  • Who were these Masters? Where did they come from?
  • Why was nobody there today? Did they go somewhere else? Or did they vanish?

I have been thinking about this since yesterday. I came to the conclusion that these Sadhus were divine for sure, however unbelievable it might seem to my thinking mind. We have heard and seen that all the great Masters come for Kumbh ever since it began. I have experienced this in earlier Kumbh Melas (Nashik in 2015 and Prayagraj in 2019), and this experience was another confirmation of that experience. It was also a reminder that Mohanji is at the Kumbh Mela through us, and he is doing his work.

Do contemplate a little, and you will understand what we witnessed, and you will experience it too.

My deepest gratitude to Mohanji, for giving us this eye-opening experience.

The truth beyond revelations

Mohanji as Mohanji

Subhasree Thottungal, UK
May 2019

As I was sitting in our ‘Mohanji room’ and looking at the altar, I thought, I should bring home a Datta idol. Sometime later, I saw photos of Mohanji’s home in Bangalore and saw Mahavatar Babaji’s idol in those photos. I had seen this before too. However, this time suddenly I asked myself, why have I never felt inclined to have Babaji’s idol in my altar? Well, with time, I just forgot about this thought.

Just a few months back, in August, just two days before Mohanji’s visit to London, I had a really amazing, unbelievable experience regarding Mahavtar Babaji. I had written this story and published it in Mohanji’s chronicles “Stone to crystal”

The story was about the expansion beyond my body that I had experienced after reading Mohanji’s written blogs on Mahavatar Babaji.

Anyway, a few days later, suddenly during an informal discussion, I was asked,

“For a complete stranger, what age Mohanji would look like?”

Immediately His image flashed as if He was standing in front of me. This was happening instantly.  I spontaneously said 40, or even may be between 35 to 40. Then something just made me write ‘Mohanji is ageless.’

Yes, that’s how Mohanji appeared to me, He is ageless! At this point, I had no comparison of Him with anyone else.

Ageless Mohanji
The Ageless Mohanji (a pic from Rome!)

The next morning, I received a photo of a majestic rainbow in Singapore. Unlike my regular gross mind, I could see little beyond and understood that I was not just being shown a beautiful rainbow…I was being reminded of Dattatreya!

As the day progressed, in a miraculous way, I came across a blog that showed me the connection between Mohanji & Hanuman. During this again the reminder of my spontaneous response to a conversation regarding Mohanji as ‘ageless’ flooded my memory.

That night I had knee pain which was getting unbearable. The pain was so bad that I woke up and couldn’t sleep again. This was about 3 am. I kept praying to Mohanji, keeping my own hand on my knee for healing, feeling Mohanji’s energy flowing through.

After some time, I felt better but my sleep had gone. So I took my phone to read something. While I was browsing on my phone, a blog by  ‘Vanamali’ on Mahavatar Babaji flashed up. I wondered, is this author ‘Vanamali’, the ‘Vanamali Mataji’ that I know as Mohanji’s spiritual mother? I opened the blog. It was indeed her. I started reading. She was describing a place called Katargama (also known as Kathirgamam) in Sri Lanka, as the Kailash of the South. She had explained about Lord Murugan’s incarnation in that place. Before I realised, it was time to go to the office. I left the blog reading incomplete and continued with my day’s activities. Later on in the evening, I picked up the story from where I had left off. This reading brought me the awareness of something majestic, that I had so far not realised.

In the blog, Vanamali Mataji explained that Kataragama is the place where Lord Murugan (son of Shiva) had moved to from Kailash. Lord Murugan then incarnated as Mahavatar Babaji, in a small village in South India. At the age of 15, as a young boy, Babaji had travelled to Kataragama in Sri Lanka! That’s where he met his Guru, Siddhar Bhoganathar. At the age of 16, Babaji was blessed by his Guru Bhoganathar with ‘Kaya Kalpa’ – to remain a youth forever. While I was reading this part, suddenly ‘Ageless – Mohanji is ageless’ flashed in my memory. It felt as if an electric current went through me.

Mahavatar Babaji
The ageless Mahavatar Babaji

I continued my reading. The blog explained about Babaji’s journey back from Sri Lanka to India. In South India, Babaji met Guru Agastya, who accepted him as his disciple and taught him Kriya yoga, and the importance of breath. At this point of the story, I was reminded of how Devi Amma of Bangalore, a highly evolved spiritual master, disciple and spiritual daughter of Agastya Rishi, considers Mohanji as her spiritual brother. She says he is none other than Agastya Rishi’s son! Also, the fact that Mohanji imparts the teaching of Kriya, giving importance to the breath, struck a chord, while I was reading about Babaji!

Even though I was reading about Babaji, the image that I had all through this time was of Mohanji.

The story continued. Babaji was in the Himalayas, meditating in the cave. Suddenly a vision flashed to me. I saw Mohanji meditating in this cave! Every word that was mentioning Babaji, the only vision I had in front of my eyes was of Mohanji.

m5

Slowly I realised, whom I see in the very ordinary form of Mohanji is much beyond that.

Surely, He is none other than Babaji himself.

Surely, He is none other than Murugan himself!

I was seeing a smile in my own face, a smile of joy. As if I have found a treasure, I suddenly realised, ah, this is why Mohanji loves going to Skanda Vale!

Skanda Vale is a sacred place where Guru Subramaniam has built a temple for Skanda, also called Murugan. He believed and so does everyone else, that Skanda lives there!

I always thought Mohanji goes to Skanda Vale because of the Guru Parampara, Datta tradition, His love for the Skanda Vale community.

Let me tell you a couple of flash-back stories on Skanda Vale here.

In September 2017, I was blessed to accompany Mohanji to Skanda Vale when He was there for a few days enriching the Skanda Vale community with His valuable presence. During that time, Mohanji had told me that Skanda Vale is very special to Him and to give His time there is a very high priority for Him. At that time, I just attributed His statement to His humility and His duty to the Datta Tradition. Again in August 2018, Mohanji went to Skanda Vale, for a purpose even more powerful – to do the consecration ceremony of the Datta idol!

abhishek1
Mohanji doing consecration of Lord Dattatreya at Skanda Vale, UK, August 2018

While I was completely merged in the divinity of Mohanji’s actions in Skanda Vale, I was surely far away from understanding why was He doing all these things!

Coming back, I now realised that reading Vanamali Mataji’s blog was not just any ordinary blog reading. This was a great revelation to me. I understood that Mohanji goes to Skanda Vale, the place where Skanda lives. Because He himself is none other than Skanda (Murugan)!

I then remembered, just sometime back, it was an auspicious day for Skanda and my friend Radha sent me a short video clip of her father, Subramaniam uncle doing aarati to Skanda with a special deepam. This was not any ordinary aarati ritual, it was indeed a very powerful one. Subramaniam uncle is not just an ardent devotee of Murugan, he is a devoted disciple of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and loves Mohanji immensely. To receive the video clip of this ritual to Skanda was not ordinary. I had felt the divinity that time to receive the clip, but I only understand now, why was I allowed by the divine to view this!

Kartika Puja
Special Kartika puja (for Skanda) at Subramaniam uncle’s home

Whether we think of Hanuman or Dattatreya or Murugan or Mahavatar Babaji – all are an ansha (part) of Shiva, and ultimately Shiva himself!

That’s the revelation of this incarnation that I know as Mohanji.

In just one day, I had the visions or realisation of Lord Datta, Lord Hanuman and now Murugan and Mahavatar Babaji. Ah, a truth beyond my imagination was unfolding.

A naïve question that had appeared in my mind a few days back about the connection with Mahavatar Babaji was being answered by the divine in such a beautiful way revealing the utmost truth about Mohanji to me. This revelation was happening to me through my own realisation, not by someone telling me! I was surely more than overwhelmed. I was totally awestruck.

In this state, I couldn’t stop myself from expressing this experience to Mohanji and begging Him to confirm this. However, as usual, Mohanji was far from being emotional. He gave me a straight clear answer,

“I am Mohanji. Nothing more. Nothing less.”

mohanji ageless
“I am Mohanji. Nothing more. Nothing less.”

I felt so silly to have asked Him this question.

Did I need to? No.

Does the answer matter? No.

The revelation to me was my own realisation. That was my TRUTH. Period.

My story doesn’t finish here.

Mohanji didn’t answer me. But the divine had other plans. 🙂

Next morning, I received Preethi Gopalarathnam’s WhatsApp message. She had forwarded me a message conversation between Mohanji and her, the previous day. Her message to Mohanji was about her urge for visiting Kataragama in Sri Lanka!

mohanji skanda
An unbelievable similarity between the photo of young Mohanji and young Murugan in a calendar!

As I rubbed my eyes, I was reading the message repeatedly. Am I really reading it correctly? The day before when I discovered about Kataragama and the follow-up on the unfolding truth of Murugan, Mahavatar Babaji, and Mohanji, she was at the same time, thousands of miles away, feeling the same pull too! This couldn’t be just mere coincidence. I realised through this, Mohanji has answered my previous night’s question!

This is now so clear, as clear as a crystal, to me.

All through the day, my whole body was shivering but the heart was full of joy. I don’t know what enlightenment means or feels, but I certainly felt enlightened that day.

Like the little girl who receives a very expensive toy beyond her dreams, I had something that I never could even dare to think of! In my naïve mind, simple Mohanji was enough. This truth indeed was a huge realisation for me.

I started writing about this experience. Usually, when I feel the urge to express my thoughts, I just write it quickly and share. I strongly feel that Mohanji doesn’t delay in giving me experiences, so I must not delay in expressing and sharing it, as every experience that I receive, is not just for me. Someone somewhere will benefit from it too.

But, this blog has taken many days, weeks, even months!

In the meantime, ‘Guru Leela’ happened. Mohanji Acharya training happened. Kumbh Mela happened. All three out of the world, beyond this lifetime experiences, happened. But I still hadn’t completed this blog!

Finally, Mohanji’s birthday approached. I thought it’s high time now for me to publish the blog. I must publish the blog at least for Mohanji’s birthday. However, that still didn’t happen.

A few days later, after Mohanji’s birthday, I received a mail from Lisa, sharing the experience of her visit to Skanda Vale on Mohanji’s birthday. When I read her story, I froze. I was dumbstruck after I read what she experienced at the Skanda Temple in Skanda Vale, on Mohanji’s birthday. Following is an excerpt from her blog which is published in Mohanji Chronicles blog site.

“Suddenly, as I looked at Muruga, I felt as if I was not there in my body, and felt Mahavatar Babaji’s presence.”

Lord Muruga, Mahavatar Babaji, and Mohanji – all as one! Here is one more devotee realising this truth and conveying her experience completely independent of the realisation that I had.

Mohanji with peacock

I realised that the Divine was bringing clarity to me about the truth of Mohanji’s incarnation – the one form beyond all forms! Whether I realise Him as  Mahavatar Babaji or Lord Muruga or Lord Dattatreya, ‘Being Shiva’ is His eternal truth. With this revelation, Mohanji taught me once again why I need not run behind any form, any incarnation.

Mohanji is the door for me, Mohanji is the path for me and Mohanji is the destination for me. In this life, my Lord Jagannath brought Mohanji to me and then he merged into Mohanji.

Before that, I had no knowledge of anyone else. After that, I have no knowledge of anyone else.

Everyone is just one and the only one for me – Mohanji! Simple and straight, ‘ageless’.

That is why I can see Him in every other Master or God and  I can see all Masters and Gods in Him. For me, everything is ‘Sarvam Mohan Mayam’ – all manifestations as one and only ‘Mohanji.’.

I would like to end my story with sharing some special moments of my gratitude for my Gurudev, my Mohanji. I remain at His lotus feet as the eternal slave.

An expression of my devotion…

Is Mohanji a Real Guru?

Written by Yashik Singh

1966027_10151939186457161_7387428278016946227_o

This is a question that we all ask at some point in our relationship with Mohanji. Whether we are disciples, devotees, well wishers, just curious or even cynical, at some time in our contact with Mohanji we will ask if he is really a Guru, or someone we can just learn from or just another fraud. In my experience, Mohanji himself, does not make it easy with his all so subtle ways and teachings. There are no lightning bolts from the sky or him going into a trance and speaking differently or him levitating (well, usually). He just is … He is simple and unassuming. And in his simplicity, the mind and intellect will naturally ask this question: Is Mohanji a real Guru?

Mohanji 55
He is so simple and unassuming.

Mohanji - Ami Imzaia Before we go on, we should quickly define a guru. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a Guru as “a religious teacher and spiritual guide in Hinduism”. But in truth a Guru is much more than this. There have been many interpretations to the word Guru (and thus the role). Some say “Gu” means darkness and “Ru” means light, indicating that the Guru takes you from darkness into light.

Mohanji - Sharon Pillai

The Guru Gita says “Gu” means beyond qualities and “Ru” means devoid of form, thus giving attributes to the Guru. Guru also means “heavy” or “weighty”, and thus is compared to a weight that holds paper down and prevents it from flying away. A Guru similarly holds the disciples mind down and prevents it from flying away with the senses. In the musings of my mind, I sat thinking about this. I asked myself if Mohanji is a real Guru.

Mohanji - Neha Parekh

If I thought about all the things I have read about Mohanji then the answer is easy, but I wanted to assess this from my own personal experience. I began thinking about things that I perceived directly about Mohanji to answer this question. As always, we should look at the examples of beings that we trust to objectively assess a situation. Who better to ask about a Guru than Hanumanji and Vibhisanji. They were supreme devotees, praised by everyone. If they reached such heights of spiritual glory, they certainly will be able to teach us how to choose a Guru.

Hanumanji, the one who is the repository of incomparable strength, all the virtues and good qualities, the foremost among knowledgeable beings
Hanumanji, the one who is the repository of incomparable strength, all the virtues and good qualities, the foremost among knowledgeable beings

Hanumanji first served Sugreeva who was hiding in a cave from his brother Bali. At this time Hanumanji’s powers remained dormant and Sugreeva could not manifest them in Hanumanji. But as soon as Hanumanji met Shri Ram, he knew that he was his master and Shri Ram manifested Hanumanji’s dormant abilities. This teaches us two very important lessons. A true Guru is one that does not have any fear and secondly has the ability to manifest change in a disciple. Can I find these qualities in Mohanji from my own experience?

Mohanji - Zoran Stefanovski

When Mohanji was in South Africa, we were driving together to the Ganesha temple. On our way, at a four way intersection, an oncoming car sudden turns to his right, even though we had right of way. I slammed the break, and stopped before hitting him. Then I noticed Mohanji’s arm stretched over my chest. This was Mohanji’s instinctive reaction to protect me rather than placing his hands over himself to protect his own body. This shows the absence of fear for himself and protection for someone else, just like Shri Ram.

sri ram

A few days ago while at the gym, I was looking at someone swimming in the pool. I was using the bicycle closest to the pool and looking at the swimmer and the water. Then suddenly it struck me. I am near water! I have a phobia for large bodies of water and before Mohanji, I found it very difficult to even walk near a pool. I used to feel dizzy and nauseous. But now, without even realising it, I’m cycling near a large swimming pool. Ok, so that is a check for Hanumanji’s two lessons.

Vibhishana_as_King_of_Lanka
Vibhisana as King of Lanka

Vibishan was very dedicated to Ravana until he learned of Shri Ram. He left Ravana and took shelter under Shri Ram’s feet. Ravana eventually kicked Vibishan out of Lanka but Shri Ram made him King of Lanka. This teaches us many things, one of which is that a true Guru is not egotistical and freely gives to his disciple. It is not just about knowledge. Ravan was a brilliant scholar, even greater than most sages of his time, but Vibishan still left him. In Mohanji, you do not find a trace of egotistical personality traits or a power mongering nature. And this is shown by what makes Mohanji and his tradition special: Shaktipat. Mohanji never once said that it is vital that only he is there physically to give shaktipat. Neither did he ever say that if he is not physically present we must use a photo of him. No instead he initiated people to act as mediums. Why was this necessary? He could have dominated and shown absolute power if he did not do this. Mohanji does not need me or other initiates to be there to deliver shaktipat. But because Mohanji has no ego, because it is his nature to give, and because he loves us…he honours us with the ability to act as a facilitator for shaktipat. So he fulfills Vibishanas lessons too.

Mohanji

Scripture declares a Guru as having three qualities: (1) “One whose vision (all five senses) is stable without the need of an object of desire (even God) for staring”; (2) one whose mind is stable without meditation or any need for any support”; and (3) one whose Prana (breath or energy) is stable without performing conscious Pranayama, She or He alone is the Yogi, or the Guru worthy of our attention and services.” I have seen all these three qualities in Mohanji.

Mohanji - Manjari Rao Mohanji’s senses are all under complete control. When he stayed in South Africa, I noticed that he was equally happy whether you gave him bread and butter or a meal with five curries to eat. Although in physical pain and tired, he still conducted all the meditations he had to, went to all the functions he had to and fulfilled his obligations. So that fulfills the first criteria.

Mohanji - Nilesh Parekh

As for the second quality, we all have seen pictures of his brain wave scan that scientifically show that his mind is always in a meditative state. Mohanji mind is always under control. MohanJi has scolded me and a second later he was praising me. He never gets angry the way we do. His mind is always still.

Mohanji - Deloshni Govender

And finally the third quality. I have never seen Mohanji do any pranayama. But his prana is so balanced and strong that when he did pranpratishta at Merudada Ashram, I felt cold marble murthis turn warm and a hot “breeze” shoot out of a linga. Of course there are more incidents that confirm all this but I wanted to only use what I experienced and saw with my own eyes. And from all of this, undoubtedly, MOHANJI IS A SADGURU.

Respected Family and friends,

Maybe I’m not eligible to say this, but I’d rather voice my observations and appear silly, than live with the burden of not speaking up when I felt prompted to do so. So many people call Mohanji directly for every little thing, most of which have no depth or definite purpose. When a true bhakta calls from the heart, He appears anyway out of pure love and even gives Darshan in physical form (we have read so many experiences by devotees).

Cute smiling M, natureHe’s the busiest of us all! Not a second is spent idle. He’s operating in multiple dimensions, saving lives, liberating souls, leading various beings to light. His bhaktas are in so many planes of existence… even though sometimes it may appear that He’s attending a casual function or cracking jokes with us. Again, we’ve had numerous testimonials of His non-physical, simultaneous seva and life-saving operations reported by devotees. A lot of these have even been blogged. It’s also true that He doesn’t just spend time with anyone. There is always a larger purpose than what we perceive it to be. Tradition paves the way for Him.

He is asked thousands of similar questions by emails, Facebook messages, but each time before most of us even realize what is troubling us, He posts it as a status message (where everyone gets their answers to their satisfaction and no one is left waiting) or as a blog post or a lot of times gives individual signs of the solution to everyone.

For Him all are One. All are Alike. All are pieces of God … and He treats everyone just the same with only the most genuine and the purest unconditional love… He is the incarnation of compassion who’s beyond duality. He blesses and loves even those who detest Him. He’s far beyond being conditional or having any expectations!

621428_10151172991903153_2056071689_oFor Him All are welcome. So many times during important meetings and work-related matters, people keep coming to meet Him… and guess what? He STILL obliges all. He includes everyone in it. At the cost of His own time, his own working space… We have seen it so many times! In fact always! Because how can an embodiment of pure unconditional Love with no ego and only compassion discriminate? That makes it Our duty to respect His space… His guidance will anyway always come from within our hearts. Let us not forget, Our Guru is completely self-sufficient. It’s US who need Him and not vice versa.

Even when Mohanji was working as a CEO for a multinational in Muscat, he still replied to everyone, giving guidance to all, traveling worldwide, conducting satsangs and meditations free of cost, out of pure compassion. He’s never believed in selling spirituality. In days gone past, people practiced Guru Dakshina, giving back to your Guru in whichever way you can, whether it be in kindness, time, money, seva. Any way which suits your constitution.

There are people who just by taking His name, connect to Him and get everything. A lot of people have achieved the highest without even meeting Him physically, His consciousness gives us everything! Purity and Faith is all that’s needed to open up to His grace…Just living His teachings. Yet, as Mohanji says, people mail, call and message Him telling Him they want to meet Him but don’t move a finger to make it happen. Most of them fake it and then usually get busy with the worldly life and miss an opportunity to get Darshan of a living Master. Many are not even eligible to meet Him physically, but it’s His big heart, and compassion that He accommodates everyone. It is after lifetimes and lifetimes that we have got the blessing to have Him on the Earth.

Now what breaks my heart is when we see Mohanji taking everything upon himself and literally infusing life force into people who had no hope for the future, changing their reality by giving their life a higher meaning, by giving them the energy to face reality, to go through their karma when things get tough, His grace protecting them from storms of life like a stone shelter, releasing them from so many problems… and after receiving all that, they forget about His blessings and attribute this energy to random ideas about spirituality that they have picked up. I’ve seen many go through these positive experiences because of Mohanji and then say that it was their astral connection with their archangels getting stronger! Be aware! ALL exist WITHIN Mohanji. Without consideration of Guru Dakshina, and even after all that grace, they’re still confused as to who their Guru is!!

220733_207547149275524_176140_oAfter Mohanji unconditionally gives everything, when it’s time to release His blessing in the form of time/seva/dakshina etc, people question, “Is He my Guru?” Ugh!!

I’ve seen Him take cancers on himself and burn them, incurable diseases on himself, people’s lifetimes of karmic trash on himself and burn it… In fact a lot of us have seen Him do that. He has to suffer that. His physical body has to suffer that, even if for Him it’s burning in just a few minutes/seconds, it does affect His lifetime on Earth. Yet once healed and cured, people find hundreds of excuses to forget this grace, let alone spread it to the world. Excuses like, “I wish to be in silence, I don’t like to post pictures of seva, so I don’t want to do the seva, I did a course on… the other day, maybe it’s that which is making me all spiritually tuned”.

testimonial-3

And Guru’s grace is completely ignored. How we take His time and presence on the Earth for granted!

Those who are feeling the transformation and His energy will feel blocked if they’re not letting it out and contributing and spreading the love. I do so many times when I’m super busy and can’t do any seva. I feel stagnant because He is infusing us with His energy all the time and I’m not able to let it out and spread it. Those times I really pray to Him and try to surrender more and more… Those times, He always, always, always and always answers that internal call from the heart and the block is removed.

testimonial-4

Those who cannot connect to His consciousness while He is in body will find it challenging to understand the path once He expands beyond His physical body. Mohanji is indeed a force… a force brighter than a thousand suns which you feel inside your heart… which will be ever so active even when He’s beyond His body. He doesn’t need a language to communicate to our physical presence nor us. All our thoughts exist within Him, so telling Him our plans is a silly and frail idea! 😉 Formalities and Being inauthentic with Him is deluding our own self! Full Faith or Zero Faith!

As He always says, being genuine is worth it!

My life is an example of His unlimited grace. A recent example is me shifting to another city alone, with no job in hand, limited time & savings.. only in complete Faith. Since 2013 beginning, several changes started happening and I started feeling a strong urge to move out of the city- Delhi, I happened to share this with Mohanji and He completely supported the idea and blessed me. Mohanji asked me to stay at His Pune Ashram and take care of it. I tried to avoid it, but After Him repeating that strongly, I got His message and just went with the flow. Just like hat, He converted me into an Ashramite. We started meditations here. All He asked me to do was to be flexible. I had no expectations from Him (and pray to remain without expectations all my life), but I knew for a fact before shifting that His grace would get me a job soon. I was certain. Within a week I got the job as a senior fine art teacher in a good school, while the only opening they had was for a junior one! When I was given the official letter a month later after joining, my salary had increased than what they had told me during appointment! It was the exact salary I’d mentioned to Mohanji that was ok for me when I met Him in Delhi.  Another experience was yesterday during blanket distribution, which you can read here.

There is no dearth of devotee experiences where Mohanji is saving lives, liberating them, protecting them while being physically present somewhere else.

testimonial-5

We are living in a time where everything intangible such as spirituality is ridiculed or condemned. Saints and holy men are crucified. People have become addicted to scandals, craving for it. Saints are disrespected. This is a clear sign of the decay of the society. Instead of using the teachings of saints for personal elevation, people destroy the guru principle in themselves by scandalizing saints and expressing ingratitude. Pretentious morality is more highlighted than valuable teachings.

Many people come for personal advantages. If they fail in achieving that, they go out and complain or scandalize. They contaminate the minds of people. Many people are prejudiced towards the saints due to the scandals the media has profusely published. There is a statistics that 380 hours was spent by media to cover the Shankaracharya’s scandal. When the court could not find any fault and acquitted him, total time spent for covering that news was 3 minutes! Hence common man is biased. They would not see the truth. They will only see the negative publicity!

Please forgive me if this was too honest, but the way some people pretend in front of the Master, wasting His precious moments on the Earth, is so disheartening that I just really needed to share this today.

Love,
Palak Mehta
