Surrendered faith

Mohanji blessing

The following two testimonials are from a Mohanji devotee who wishes to remain anonymous at present. Both stories show us yet again how grace flows when we have love and faith and we surrender to our dearest Guru.

Prayer miracle

In the first story, the author says, “Recently, my close relative was diagnosed with a heart problem. He has been suffering from blood pressure for many years and was on medication. However, during a recent check-up, the EKG scan was abnormal and he was asked to visit a cardiologist. I was shocked and I prayed to Mohanji and Sai Baba to help him come out of this situation. It was a constant prayer and I even visited Sai temples, offering my prayers and service.

love1

The day of the visit to the cardiologist arrived and I was very positive as I knew Mohanji always takes care when we totally surrender. I wanted to see the cardiologist myself, so I accompanied him to the doctor’s office. After another scan and a thorough check-up, the cardiologist said that there was nothing to worry and it was a minor issue that could be fixed with diet and exercise. I was mind blown and thanked Mohanji and Sai Baba for everything. This was an eye-opener to me that whenever we totally surrender to Mohanji, he will take care of the situation, even beyond our hopes and prayers.”

“Life has no guarantees, insurance, and assurances. Life is as it happens, in the most unexpected and unpredictable way. All you can maintain within is your Goodness factor, love, kindness, compassion and gratitude. If these are not maintained every moment, only regrets and disappointments will remain within.” Mohanji

 Antidote to fatigue

In the second story, the author says, “The following experience has left me speechless. I was having chronic fatigue yesterday. It was so bad that I could hardly get up from my bed. My body was stiff and I couldn’t even walk to the kitchen and had to drag myself there, both mentally and physically. I wasn’t sick, but it was more of tiredness due to routine work and no proper rest. I decided to go for a massage. I called up many centers and checked for appointments. I also called up a few friends to check for the best massage centers around. I usually never go for any massages, but in this desperate situation, I was willing to go.

M quote

Suddenly, a thought arose in my mind. I have always seen and believed Mohanji’s energy can solve any problem. There is no doubt about it. We just have to have faith that it will work! I started to chant the Mohanji Gayatri intensely in my mind as I had no energy to chant aloud. I sat on a sofa, closed my eyes and chanted for about 10-15 minutes.

In the beginning, I could feel the energy flow through me slowly. It was a very light feeling and then it flowed all around my body, my legs, my hands and my head. I had my eyes closed and continued chanting, and I began to feel fresh and I could chant faster. At the end of 15 minutes, I was completely normal, in fact, more than normal. I could run around, clean my house, cook lunch and dinner, do my work, visit the library and drive about 30 miles, all with no effort and without any massage. I was taken aback by what happened, but what I realised was that Mohanji has taken over and when we believe in him, he is there for us in whichever way we want him to help us.”

“Storms of emotions are part of life; everyone’s life. Faith is the pillar. Hold on to it and weather all the storms of life. That is the best way. Perhaps the only way.” Mohanji

Thankful, grateful, and blessed

Lifeguard

By Shyama Jeyaseelan, UK

Preparations are on for the 4th Mohanji Acharya training in Serbia in October. I am very blessed to be attending this training again. The excitement of being able to see Mohanji in a few days time is growing day by day. Messages on the phone about the details of travelling, booking accommodations and transport in Serbia are taking place. Emails are being exchanged. As all this is happening, I’m reminded often of the many joyous moments that I had experienced during the Mohanji Acharya training in Canada, that I attended in June 2019. It was a privilege to attend the programme, to be a part of a very special group and spend so much time in the presence of Mohanji during that week.

There were many times when we were not even sure if the training in Canada was going to happen. Dates were changed a few times too and I was beginning to think that I would not be able to make it due to work and home commitments. But Mohanji’s grace was at play and a wonderful group of people met in Ontario, Canada for the 3rd Mohanji Acharya training. It was a small group. 15 excited people looking forward to the training were joined by 5 already trained Acharyas.

Every day brought so many beautiful moments. Words are not enough to express the joy and love we all received from Mohanji. Sitting at his feet, soaking in his energy, and learning from the Master himself, it was more than a dream come true. And the Mohanji Canada team were simply wonderful. They welcomed us like family, worked so hard to take care of us all, and gave us so much love. My heartfelt gratitude and love go to the whole team for all their hard work.

As Mohanji says, “Most relationships are conditional, based on expectations, if you do this for me, I’ll do this for you. It is sometimes transactional. But in a spiritual family, it is never transactional. It is never conditional and there are no expectations. Love is unconditional. When you are in such a family, you know you are at home.”

Despite the many uncertainties of where to have the training, the final decision of the venue made all our hearts sing with joy! We were in the most beautiful place, surrounded by nature. There was a lovely pond, acres of woods, unusual birds and friendly chipmunks who were a joy to watch. However, having a Shirdi Sai Baba temple at the venue, along with statues of a beautiful Lord Dattatreya and other deities, filled the entire premises with so much energy.

Each day left us with memories to cherish. One such memory is taking a special photo with Mohanji. One day, Mohanji came into the training room, wearing a beautiful red vest top and a colourful bandana. He looked so cute and during the discussions in the morning, I was thinking it would be so lovely to have a picture with Mohanji in this attire. Usually camera shy, I tend to hide away when pictures are being taken and I was surprised at myself as this thought persisted during the course of the morning.

As we broke up for lunch, Mohanji, as usual, spent a few minutes speaking with those who wanted a few moments with him, before going in. As I hovered near him, Mohanji finished speaking with the last person and turned towards me with a smile. Unsure if I was troubling him with my request, I hesitantly said, “Mohanji, you look so beautiful, can we have a picture with you please?” Without any hesitation, he promptly said, “Of course, does everyone want one?” It was a unanimous, “Yes please!”

Mohanji patiently stood near the doorway while each person took a picture with him. Taken by George, the pictures were stunning. The vibrant red of the vest, the bandana, and the cool shades made Mohanji look so amazing. But most of all, the words on the vest, ‘Lifeguard’ was just perfect! The loving Guru, the Eternal Charioteer, the Guardian of our life and soul, was fulfilling yet another loving wish. Thank you dearest Mohanji, for this precious picture that we are all blessed to have.

Laughter the best medicine

During the training, we were all asked to do a short presentation. Although much better at it now, the thought of public speaking leaves me a nervous wreck. As it got closer to my turn, I could literally feel myself turn to jelly. Most people were wonderful at presenting and it was inspiring to watch them speak with so much confidence.

Jaya, who spoke at the end, is a beautiful person. She has an amazing capacity to remember all that Mohanji was saying. If during the group discussions I had a doubt, I knew she will have the answer. Her turn was at the end, and as with the others, we expected Mohanji to ask for feedback from the group.

After a few moments of silence, Mohanji started laughing. He was laughing so hard that tears were streaming down his face and he was rocking from side to side. I really thought he might fall off the chair. It was hilarious to watch him and we were all laughing not knowing why, but because his laughter was so infectious. In between the laughter, he managed to tell us what he was visualising and of course, that made us laugh harder. Mohanji, in the end, said she’s like a cuddly teddy bear with an AK-47, verbally firing away at the audience with her superb knowledge.

After feeling so tense, which I know was very unnecessary, it was a great way to finish the day. All the tension melted away and I was left feeling so grateful to Jaya who made Mohanji laugh so much. Jaya later said she felt deep gratitude for the grace and blessing to have been the cause for making Yogi Nath Shiva laugh! I have never seen him laugh like this in the years I’ve known him and am so grateful for this joyful memory. As you can imagine, I’ve got a huge grin on my face while writing this.

Lotus feet

One day, during the mid-morning break, Mohanji stayed back in the training room, talking casually, while a few people sat around him, near his feet. A couple of the ladies started to massage his feet and I know what a blessing it is to have such an opportunity. It happened so naturally and it was beautiful to see the joy in their faces. Wishing I could join them, I just sat and listened to the conversation flowing around me. Being an introvert is a nuisance at times, especially when one wants to be physically near and interact with the Master. But he knows each one’s inner-most thoughts and blesses us in the most unexpected ways.

On Thursday mornings, abhishekam (ritual bathing) to the Shirdi Sai Baba statue is done in the temple. On the first Thursday of the training, we all had the privilege of watching Mohanji bathe, dry, apply perfume and decorate the statue. Mohanji’s focus, love, and reverence while performing the rituals were amazing to witness. The energy created was so powerful and it enabled us all to feel Baba’s presence very much. We were also fortunate to take part in this abhishekam.

The day before Mohanji was leaving Canada, on Thursday, abhishekam was being done again. I was watching the Canada team do the rituals, their love for Baba mirroring Mohanji. Suddenly Sanjay beckoned me forward. Giving me some perfume oil in the hand, he asked me to apply it to Baba’s feet.

Sai

I was overjoyed! Sitting at the lotus feet of Baba and applying perfume to the feet that felt so much alive, I felt as if Mohanji was fulfilling my desire to massage his feet. As I realised this, my heart simply melted. Tears of joy and gratitude formed. It was also a reminder to me that Mohanji’s physical form represents the Tradition which encompasses all Masters of the Datta Tradition. At that point, Shirdi Sai, Sathya Sai, and Mohanji, all became one. I was at the feet of the Tradition, being showered with love and blessings. My most humble and loving gratitude to the Masters of this beautiful Tradition.

Kailash to Canada

A couple of days after the training had started, when talking with one of the Canada team members, I realised that Mohanji was leaving Canada two days after the training finished. We had all made arrangements to leave on the last day of the training or the next day. I had made plans to be picked up on the last day too.

The morning after this conversation, I was thinking to myself that I would love to stay the extra night to spend more time with Mohanji. I was reluctant to ask anyone as we had to vacate the house as planned and I did not want to trouble anyone from the Canada team, they were already doing so much for us.

Mohanji1

At lunchtime, I was walking towards the lunch hall, speaking to my husband back in England. Suddenly, I realised Mohanji was feeding or watching the chipmunks on the bird feeding stand and George was taking photos. Not wanting to intrude, I stepped aside and put my phone away to be silent.

As Mohanji turned to go inside, he spotted me lurking near the bushes and said, “Ah Shyama, come inside.” A little startled at this unexpected request, I thought perhaps Mohanji wanted to ask me something about the UK team and followed him inside.

Mohanji was about to have his lunch, and so sweetly, asked me to join him. I don’t know why, but I was so surprised that George had to literally push me into one of the chairs to make me sit down. And the first thing he said to me was, “When are you leaving for London?” The in-dweller of our hearts, the one who knows all our thoughts and desires, gave me the opportunity to tell him my plans and also ask if I could stay an extra night. And ever so graciously Mohanji said, “Welcome, welcome any time,” leaving me feeling totally accepted and loved.

Staying that extra night and day with Mohanji and the Canada team fulfilled another desire, something that I had not consciously wished for, but think of, almost every day. It has taught me with no room for doubts that our thoughts, whether positive or negative, make a huge impact on our lives. Mohanji says, “What you talk to yourself is your destiny. What you talk inside are commands to the inner universe which the outer universe reciprocates. Watch your thoughts.”

During my Kailash pilgrimage in 2016, after the dip, I had watched a couple do pradakshina (circumambulation) to Mohanji on the banks of Mansarovar. Their love and devotion to Mohanji were palpable and I had thought how very blessed they were. The prayer below is one of my favourites and whenever I say it, I would remember this incident.

Sign of surrender

On the last day of Mohanji’s visit to Canada, after the morning aarati, while he was standing before Baba, we all did pradakshina (circumambulation) to Mohanji. What a wonderful blessing it was to do pradakshina to the Guru who is the focal point of my life; the centre, source, and essence of my life.

This was something beyond a desire or a wish. I don’t know what penance I had done in the past to deserve such a divine blessing. We were all emotional, knowing Mohanji was leaving in a few hours. Our hearts were overflowing with love, devotion, and gratitude. As we prostrated, Mohanji’s feet were being washed with our tears. Every time I think of that moment, my heart expands with love for this precious gift.

“When the mind is with the Master, you are with the Master. When your body is with the Master, there’s no guarantee you are with the Master. Your mind is elsewhere, that’s where you are. It’s not that you’re not visiting Shirdi or you are not in Shirdi, it doesn’t matter. If your mind is in Shirdi, you are in Shirdi. If your mind is with the Master, you are with the Master.” Mohanji

My Acharya training was something which was beyond what I had imagined. Many more incidents, all filled with grace, reminds me that when we surrender with love, humility, and gratitude, grace flows. I recently read this quote, “Life is a series of thousands of miracles. Notice them.” With Mohanji in my life, this is so very true. Big and small miracles remind me that He is with me and within me, every moment.

May I always remain thankful, grateful, and blessed at his lotus feet.

Protection at the time of need

mohanji canada

By Nimika Keshri

It was July 2019. My child who is 2 years and 8 months old was at home as his day-care nursery was closed. My mother-in-law was here with us in Finland for 2 months. She was enjoying the company of our little one while both my husband and I were away at work. One evening we had planned to go shopping and so my husband said that he will come home early. It so happened on the day that my child who usually sleeps for 2 hours in the afternoon would not take even a small nap and soon fell asleep in the early evening hours.

I informed my husband that since the baby was asleep; we should cancel the plan for shopping that day.

Blessings to family through the phone

My husband who is an entrepreneur has a small office space in one of the shared office buildings. He informed me that he was supposed to move the office to another room in the same building, and he will continue his shifting since we were not going out. After around 3 hours, I called him to know when he was coming back home, and he informed me that he had a lot of boxes to dispose of in the garbage. He will be going down to throw them in the garbage room, and then will leave for home. The drive back home is around 20 minutes. So I was just getting the dinner ready.

Mohanji1

Around more than 1.5 hours passed since I had made the call, and I thought to call him back and check where he was. To my dismay, he did not pick up the call. I tried a couple of times with some intervals but each time it went to his voicemail. Now I was tensed. In such situations, usually, the mind thinks negatively. Then I remembered Mohanji and Sai Baba and a thought in my mind said, when Baba and Mohanji are with me, nothing wrong can happen. I just bowed down to the Masters and in 5 minutes called him again.

This time to my surprise and by the grace of the Gurus, he picked up the call. His voice was a bit tensed. He informed me that when he went down to throw away the garbage, he forgot his phone on the desk. He went to throw the garbage which was a room inside the same building. While he was coming out of that room, it was locked and he was unable to open it with his access key. There was no other way to come out and he was now worried as it was late, no one was there in the office building, and his phone was not with him. The only way was to wait the whole night in that room and come out only when someone else opened it from the outside. But soon, someone opened the door, it was the office cleaner. He said that he saw my husband coming down and since his room was open and he was not seen anywhere, he just came to check here, if everything was fine.

Mohanji prayers

After hearing this, I was in tears and thanked Mohanji and Baba Sai. This was no more than a miracle. How an unknown cleaner comes as an angel to rescue him. There was no way, I would have guessed that he was still in the office building locked in a garbage room and that night could have been a nightmare for all of us. But when Masters like Baba Sai and Mohanji take care of their children, nothing can go wrong. We just need to have firm faith and they take care of everything. My pranaams to the Masters.

Mohanji and my Mother

On the auspicious day of Guru Poornima, Jyoti Bahl offers her gratitude for Mohanji by narrating this heart touching story of how Mohanji had fulfilled her mother’s each and every wish before she took her last breath.

Mohanji and my Mother

By Jyoti Bahl, India

A Guru is comparable to the Sun; he spreads the light of liberation. Anyone who comes into his presence can benefit from it. A Guru is the face of God. Your real Guru is always God Himself. He is the power who guides your spiritual efforts. He is always with you as your true self and your inner witness.  To have Mohanji as our Sathguru is definitely because of good karma from previous lives. He does so much for all of us and we selfish humans forget everything. My life is full of Baba Sai’s and Mohanji’s experiences. It’s all because of Baba Sai that I have Mohanji as my Guru. Since Mohanji entered my life, I don’t feel lonely as I feel Him every moment. It’s not only a feeling, He actually proves His presence to me whenever I feel helpless, or when I’m in a bad situation. In my previous blogs, I have already mentioned how Mohanji saved the lives of my father, son, and even me! How can I define the glory of my Gurudev, who is like the vast ocean?

mohanji photo

This year, i.e. 2019, Mohanji gave me many indications personally and through dreams about the problem which was coming up in my life. In March 2019, I was able to meet Mohanji. That meeting was truly blissful as I got the chance to listen to Bhaja Govindam by Sri Jagatguru Adi Shankaracharya, in Mohanji’s powerful voice. Bhaja Govindam contains the essence of Vedanta, and implores man to think, why am I here in this life? Why am I gathering wealth and family, but have no peace? What is the truth? What is the purpose of life? The person who is awakened gets set on a path back to the God Principle. While listening to this bhajan in Mohanji’s voice, I was in tears. I didn’t want to come out of that blissful moment. The translation of every verse given by Mohanji was going into each cell of mine.

bhaja_govindam

I later realised the reason why I was singing these verses. Actually, Mohanji told me about detachment through Bhaja Govindam. At the end of March, my mother was detected with fourth stage cancer, which was no less than a nightmare for all of us. Before this, I used to have dreams about Mohanji very often, in which He used to call Mother near Him to bless her.  These dreams started in Jan 2019. For the last few months, Mother had wanted to meet Mohanji, but it hadn’t been possible due to some reason or the other.

mohanji liberation

I used to tell my Mother about my astral meeting with Him. I met Mohanji at the end of March and in the same month, got a chance to visit Shirdi as well. After I came back from Shirdi, I got to know about my Mother’s condition. And then I felt the power of Sathguru Mohanji, as He gave me so much strength to deal with a problem which was next to impossible for an ordinary person like me. With His motivation, I was prepared to give my Mother quality time as all the doctors told us that her fourth stage cancer was not curable.

Mohanji asked me to contact a particular doctor and also gave me Lord Dattatreya‘s healing mantra for my mother. From the very first day Mohanji sent Dr Harpreet Wasir into our lives, he guided us at every step related to my Mother’s health. Many doctors were suggesting chemo. But I didn’t want my Mother to go through it as she had always been a very lively person. One day in my prayers, I surrendered to Baba Sai and Mohanji completely and within a few minutes, I got a call from Dr Wasir saying that Mother need not go for chemo and he also added that let the doctors say anything. I was in such peace after listening to him. Just as I was praying to Mohanji for the same thing, Baba gave a message to one of my friends that my Mother’s life expectancy was very short, and we just have to give maximum love to the soul.

blessing

My Mother’s first amazing experience was when she went for a PET scan. She was a little scared during the test so she closed her eyes and called to Mohanji. Within seconds, Mohanji was standing in front of her along with Baba, and in the same blessing position which I used to see often in my dreams. After her PET scan, my Mother told me about her experience and asked me if Mohanji wears kurta and dhoti. She gave me the description of His footwear also. I was amazed to hear that as she had never met Mohanji personally, yet gave me His full description. When Mohanji physically came to give her His darshan, she told Him that He was wearing the same costume as when He gave her darshan astrally. Mohanji told her that He was going to wear a T-shirt with jeans, but just to make her realize that He actually came to bless her, He wore that.  He told her that she has a heart to heart connection with Him. As her call for Him was so strong, He had to come to her to fulfil her main desire. When she told Him about Baba Sai and Mohanji coming together during her PET scan, Mohanji mentioned that a son can’t be separated from his father. All masters are one and it was actually proved to me when so many divine souls, Baba Sai, Mohanji and Mohanji’s family came to visit Mother.

Mohanji actually took very good care of my Mother and she didn’t even get to know that she had fourth stage cancer. It was a continuous prayer to Baba Sai and Mohanji and due to that, she was full of life till her last breath. To have a living Guru in our lives is the biggest asset and without letting us know even a bit, He does so much for us. And I started feeling Him more in my Mother as she had become complete love. I was seeing Divine Mother in her and more of Mohanji in her. In such a state, she was blessing and giving love to everyone, and Mohanji’s family was witness to it, as they often used to come to meet her. When my Mother started getting blood in her stools, it became a cause of worry, as she was feeling very weak. The doctor told us that she had a life expectancy of 6 to 12 weeks. But the most surprising thing was that she didn’t have any kind of pain. The people who used to visit her were surprised as she was always smiling, full of love and life without any pains.

When I saw her in this state, suddenly Mohanji’s voice started echoing in my ears.

“I’m doing what I can.”

One day I was shocked when I received a personal message from Neelu that Mohanji had taken on my Mother’s pain. It was shared in the global group by Preeti Di. But during that time, I was not checking my WhatsApp messages due to my busy schedule. As soon as I read about Mohanji’s condition, I was in tears as He was having problems in His lungs the same as my Mother. I couldn’t control myself and called up Preeti Di to know about Mohanji’s condition.  The first thing she told me was about the blood in the stools, and I was speechless. My Mother had blood in her stools three times, and the exact same thing had happened with Mohanji too. I couldn’t stop crying. I hadn’t said anything to Mohanji and just by connecting to His consciousness, He got to know and took everything on Himself.

There is a big misconception that whosoever gets a chance to be with Mohanji physically is very fortunate. Indeed, they are very fortunate. But I really want to tell those souls that Mohanji actually works more in consciousness. From the beginning, He’s trying to tell each one of us to get connected to His consciousness, as we internalize through that process. As a true Guru, He always guides us to go within and become independent in every aspect.

experience-and-mind

Mohanj always stresses on doing our dharma properly. And I’m really grateful to Him that He gave me enough strength to serve my Mother until 20th May. Mohanji was supposed to come that morning to meet my Mother. And on the same day at 9 am, my Father fell in the market and my husband immediately took him to the doctor to get an X-ray done.

Mother with Mohanji
Mother with Mohanji

As Mohanji knows everything, He arrived at my place at 11:30 to meet my Mother. She did His aarati and sang bhajans for Him. And they had such a beautiful conversation related to Lord Krishna and Radha. Mohanji told her that death is not ugly, it’s beautiful. He made her laugh and consoled her as she was really worried about my Father, who was with the doctor for his X-ray. He gave us so much strength.  There were so many things going on, but with His presence, we were feeling extremely light and were in a thoughtless state. My Mother was in an ultimate state of bliss as her last desire of meeting Mohanji was fulfilled.

My Father was also fortunate to meet Mohanji. Mohanji blessed him and told him in advance that it was a thigh bone fracture. My Father was admitted on the same day for surgery. The same evening, my Mother’s health started deteriorating and she was admitted in ICU for breathlessness on 22nd. My Father also had surgery on the same day. I told Mohanji about my Mother’s condition, which He already knew. He said He’s aware of my Mother’s condition. This is why He came and met her as a priority and told me not to worry as He’s with her. It was a very tough situation for us. Mohanji told me that He’s with both of them and He’s reducing the intensity as much as possible. If not for Mohanji’s grace, I would have collapsed in such a situation where I was feeling exhausted in every way.

Dr Wasir
Mother with Dr Wasir

In ICU, my Mother was pouring unconditional love and blessings on everyone around her. My friends were meeting her on a daily basis as they wanted to take blessings from her. They felt Mohanji’s immense energies in her. Her wish to meet Dr Wasir also got fulfilled when he came to meet her in ICU. During her last breath, she got a chance to listen to Mohanji Gayatri on the phone in Preeti Di’s blissful voice. That was the last thing she heard. Mohanji didn’t leave even a single desire of her’s unfulfilled. When Mother left her body, I was at peace as I knew that my Baba Sai and Mohanji were standing beside her. Mohanji told me that I only concentrate on the rituals and to not forget to feed the sick, children, old women, animals and birds in her name. Rest He’s taking care and she’s fine. So I need not worry.

Immediately after this message, I started thinking about feeding the sick, old women and children. To my surprise, I found a number of a lady in my phone list who runs an NGO and she guided me to go to cancer patients at AIIMS. When I went there, I found children, women and old people altogether. How masters help us can’t be defined in words. I didn’t know anything and Mohanji guided me at every step for a smooth transition for my mother, as that was my biggest concern, and which Mohanji was already doing. Whatever I’m writing is not even an inch of praise for my Gurudev. What countless merits of previous births have given us this wonderful opportunity to be in the shadow of such an Avadhoota.

mohanji-soul-is-imperishable

There was another amazing experience which I want to mention here. Before my Mother’s body arrived at the cremation ground, my son took the ambulance to a Gurdwara which is near to our house. As he reached there, he saw Sri Guru Nanak standing at the gate and he saw a big light coming from him and merging into my Mother’s body! My Mother used to follow the Sikh religion completely and was a great follower of Sri Guru Nanak. In the end, just by connecting to Mohanji, she reached the ultimate.

On the 13th day after her death, which is the time for the soul’s transition, my Sister organized Mohanji’s satsang at my place. When the playing list was on, Mohanji’s Nirvana Shatakam also started playing automatically side by side. As before, through this obvious episode, I first strongly felt Mohanji’s presence. We were surprised as Nirvana Shatakam is one of the rare verses written by Sri Adi Sankara Bhagavatpada, identifying himself as Lord Shiva and clearly explaining his theory of non-dualism. I was at peace to know that my Mother was with Mohanji forever through this amazing experience. By chanting His name in her last days, my Mother’s soul merged into Guru’s consciousness forever. The Guru does become the linking factor, a channel for putting the wandering lost soul back into contact with its source.

Mohanji, you were the light for me in the dark. You were always an inspiration and an aspiration. You made me come out of my ignorance. I learned to deal with the issue, all due to you. Please keep me at Your lotus feet always. I am nothing but the dust of your feet, my Gurudev. Guru is like Shiva, without the Trisul in his hand. Guru is like Vishnu without the Chakra in His hand. Guru is like Brahma without the four heads. So now you can conclude that Guru is the Supreme Power on the Earth.

A blessing for Guru Purnima

By Sonia Gandhi, Australia

It was early morning, around 5:00 am, on the 1st of July 2019. I was transported in a dream state to a place with rural settings. It looked similar to the locations on the way to Mt. Kailash.

I was in a small shelter with many others. I saw Mohanji there and He was getting ready to leave. So, along with the others, I stood near the door to see Him off.

A few people were talking with Him, asking for some help, to which He lovingly said as always,

“It will be taken care of.”

He wore His shoes and was about to go; I was keen to touch His feet and get His blessings. As I bent down to touch His feet, He took His shoes off for me. My heart melted in His love and with trembling hands, I bowed down to touch His feet.

Then I heard my voice coming from the deepest core of my being. It was from the soul level and not from the mind, body, or intellect. It was one of the very few times when I knew it was my highest self talking. My voice said: “I deeply, completely, surrender at your lotus feet Mohanji, with utmost humility and gratitude, with everything I ever was and I ever will be.”

And behold! All of a sudden, His feet turned into light, a light that was brighter than the brightest light! I could not see my hands touching His feet anymore, although I felt completely drenched in that snowy, white light. Slowly with complete oneness, I saw Sai Baba emerging out of that light in the form of light itself, and I could see him. The form of Sai Baba then turned into the form of Shiva, absolutely stunning in white light and finally changed into Shree Anjaneya. All of them appeared to have emerged from the white light and merged back into it.

I woke up from this dream state with a heart full of love and my eyes full of tears. I felt this was Mohanji’s gift to me, at the start of this auspicious month of Guru Purnima. The day of the Guru Purnima has always been the most special day of my life for the past 12 years.

It is said that Masters are extremely active and very close to the earth, during the 15 days before and after Guru Purnima. It is a very special time to connect to the Source and with one’s higher self.

The bliss that this dream or astral vision has given me is not comparable. I can feel the heat of the energy expanding within me every day since then.

Is there an end to His love? No, there isn’t. My little mind is not capable of understanding what He is, but my heart just melts with His presence in my life. Gratitude and only gratitude.

Serving a Living Master

By Barbara Dizderavic, Serbia

After a recent conversation with a close Mohanji family member very near and dear to me, I felt it is important to share some important points which I have observed from living with Mohanji, which would be good to understand and would enable us to clarify to people further if required.

The Mohanji world consists of people from many different countries, cultures, religions. The teachings are universal, they are a lifestyle, and not mere concepts or religion.

The expressions of people from one culture may seem awkward to people from another culture.

For example, touching the feet of the Master. People touch the feet out of love, surrender, or maybe even misery because the feet of the Guru represents the Universe. This is very common for people in India, but outside India, it may seem unusual.

First point: Mohanji NEVER asks anybody to bow down at His feet. He has NO ego to be fed. He gets nothing from it. He will allow the expression of the person who wishes to bow down, just like He allows all expressions of people, He does not restrict anything.

He will also not tell anybody NOT to bow down if they wish to do so.

He teaches us to be 100% NATURAL, the most beautiful of teachings. BE YOU, be natural. And if He does tell us to do something, it is for OUR COMPLETION, not for His satisfaction. He provides the possibilities and platforms for OUR completion and OUR satisfaction.

He prefers to say He is a FRIEND to the world. He doesn’t present himself as different.

Everything else is the creation of people who put their experiences into words, write songs or aarti, or invite Him on stage and put flowers on the feet etc. If it was up to Him, He really wouldn’t care whether He is sitting in a golden chair or on the floor. In fact, if it was up to Him, He would be sitting in silence somewhere in the Himalayas.

Every night He withdraws into His room, He goes into His natural state which is SILENCE, not thinking about people, relationships, situations, sex, money.  Pure silence.

Second point: Sometimes people judge Mohanji based on the people connected to Him. Society expects people who have chosen the path of spirituality to be perfect. Until and unless these people have totally aligned their body, mind, ego, intellect and spirit, they are still individuals with a mind, character, temper, thoughts, ups and downs of emotions!

It would be delusional to judge or to draw conclusions about the path or about Mohanji based on the people around Him.

freedom.jpg

Last point: Mohanji gives us FULL FREEDOM to choose our path. He will never tell somebody they must be with Him. To those who choose a different path He says one thing – if you choose to leave or choose another path, BE LIGHT, go higher, SHINE BRIGHTER, don’t fall in frequency, and definitely don’t speak badly about Masters or people because that is negative. He is happy to see people shine!

If anybody feels they are doing Him a favour by being on this path, it’s best they clarify that point in their mind. He has given us a platform to serve, to clear our garbage, to develop what we need and drop off what we don’t, to grow. For that purpose, He will invite people to join the mission, but please understand it is for YOU (the person), not for HIM. He as a person needs nothing from you, or me, or anybody else.

He would also say to me “if this is difficult for you, feel free to go”.

I have absolute clarity why I’m here, so, despite the tough times, I remain here. This path may not be easy to understand, especially when tough situations happen. It is especially not easy to understand HIM because He is alive, sitting in front of us and talking. Do you think it was all nice and easy for the people living with Shirdi Sai Baba or Jesus? I doubt…

The escalation from Selfishness to selflessness

The above is the title I would give to what I wish to share based on a spontaneous conversation I had with Mohanji recently. This conversation perfectly describes what it means to be 100% selfless.

To start with, my question to Mohanji was – What does it take to have the ability to sleep less (about 2-3 hours a night), work more, and not feel tired?

My friend and I were pleasantly surprised to see that a spontaneous satsang was arising.

As Mohanji explained:

“Dream state comes from residual memory (like cache memory). We have a memory from this lifetime as well as previous ones. We store memories each day.

We cannot live through all the residual memories in the waking state, so some of them arise in the dream state. Every night when we go to sleep, we are removing things, but then we wake up and keep adding more garbage. This process is mechanical.

Figuratively, we are like a vessel filled with memories and habits. These memories are not essential, it’s only habitual. We live repetitive lives because we feel comfortable that way.

As long as this vessel is full, or even partially full, we are not aligned. Being aligned means the mind, ego, intellect and spirit are one unit (not scattered in the past, present, future).

Through meditation, various spiritual practices, kindness, love etc, we keep emptying the vessel.  But to completely reduce the size of this vessel, this is not sufficient.

There is only one remedy: SELFLESSNESS. Absolute selflessness. We should have only one thought: What ELSE can I do for the world?

When you keep giving, without expecting anything in return, your storage box is automatically reduced. As long as we are occupied with the ego, mind, analysis, judgements, prejudice, likes/dislikes, our vessel is not empty. So drop all that.

Practising selflessness consistently assists emptying the vessel.

Perfect selflessness means you do absolutely nothing for yourself. Zero selfishness.

Surrender to the path of selflessness, where you do what you have to do, not what you love to do.”

For this reason, Mohanji has provided numerous platforms for us to express our selflessness – Mohanji Foundation activities worldwide, ACT Foundation, Ammucare Charitable Trust, Youth Club, Global Vegan Club, and many more.

If we decide to express the limitations of these platforms by criticising or gossiping, instead of taking the effort to improve and nurture the platform, it will mean nothing to Mohanji. It just means we don’t know how to use the platform.

What we need to understand is: The opportunity has been given to us (for various reasons such as positive spiritual bank balance from previous lives, great support from our lineage). We must have been eligible to reach here. But if WE don’t use it, somebody else will.

I would like to quote Mohanji on a spontaneous but absolutely transformational expression, which can be repeated on a daily basis, as a reminder and self-inspiration:

“I am not the anger, hatred, jealousy.

I am not the mind, body, intellect, ego.

I am beyond all this.

I am here to do more for the world!”

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 9 – ” The divine blessings of Kamadhenu”

divine beings

We bring to you our second story in the 9th Chapter of Mohanji Satcharita. Mahesh Bhalerao shares with us a beautiful experience that took pace in Datta Tapovan Ashram in Canada in the presence of our dear Mohanji!  Divinity can be seen, sensed or heard by most of us in this physical realm. Dive into this beautiful narration and enjoy the bliss that was evident in our Canada Ashram.

The divine blessings of Kamadhenu!

By Mahesh Bhalerao, Canada

Mohanji’s arrival in Datta Tapovan Ashram brought to us the awareness of Lord Dattatreya’s presence in all aspects, and at many levels.

Let me share an event that shows the presence of Datta swaroopa Mohanji (Mohanji as the true nature of Lord Datta) in our lives, every moment.

On the morning of Friday, June 14th, devotees in Canada ashram offered aarati to Shirdi Sai Baba inside the ashram and then to Lord Datta outside, in Mohanji’s presence. Mohanji lit a lamp in front of Lord Datta and bowed His head to take his blessings. This was a very sacred moment as the devotees present there felt that divine communion was taking place.

The blessed moment didn’t end there.

The next day, Saturday morning, while everyone was walking outside towards Lord Datta’s temple, all could feel the fragrance of cow dung. It was not a dirty smell, rather a very purifying celestial smell with a strong, distinct fragrance that none could mistake. The fragrance lingered for quite some time. This left the devotees present there, puzzled. How come there was this smell of cow dung? From where?

This reminded us of the previous Sunday, June 9th, when few of us met at the ashram to discuss some matter, we had smelt the same fragrance. We did think for a moment that may be a farmer was using cow dung as a fertiliser in a nearby field. Once again this Saturday, when we got whiffs of the same fragrance, we realised that even though the ashram is located in the countryside in Canada, none of the farmers here used cow dung directly as a fertiliser! So there was absolutely no physical source from where the fragrance was emanating.

Surely this wasn’t an ordinary thing. Everyone looked up to Mohanji with curiosity eagerly waiting for Him to reveal the truth behind this phenomenon.

Mohanji explained to all. After the lamp was lit the previous day, ‘ Kamadhenu’, the celestial cow, the “every wish fulfilling mother” in the form of a cow had graced this space with her presence. Not everyone could see her, however, her presence was certainly felt through the cow dung fragrance.

Mohanji with Kamadhenu

So what is the significance behind the presence of Kamdhenu?

Well, this is up to everyone’s individual understanding and appetite for spiritual awareness!  I personally feel that in the physical presence of Datta Swaroopa Mohanji amongst us, every desire ( Dharmic, Karmic or Spiritual) is going to be accomplished!

This also made me realise that last Sunday, before Mohanji’s arrival, when we had felt the fragrance, it was an indication of Mohanji’s presence with us, that He is with us every moment, He is listening to us every moment.

Getting the same fragrance in His presence was the confirmation of His omnipresence, his omniscience and it was also clearing away our doubt, our naivety about cow dung being used as a fertiliser!

This realisation filled my heart, choked my throat and my eyes welled up! Here is my Baba (Mohanji), showing me His presence in every moment, that He is with us, listening to us, holding us every single moment. Thank You, Baba (Mohanji), for showing us this truth, for showing Your love for us.

I must also mention that on the day of this incident, yet another special event was happening. Mohanji was giving initiation to Kriya Trainees! What better way for the Tradition to convey the connection to the sacred path and the truth of the incarnation that we easily underestimate!

Thank you Mohanji for blessing the ashram and the devotees with your presence bringing the awareness of the Datta Tradition and for reminding us of your continuous presence with us every moment.

Mohanji
