How I met Mohanji

By Jelena Fassbender, Serbia

This year in August, it‘ll be ten years since Mohanji appeared in my life and took me under his divine wings of protection.

Although I shared my story of how I met Mohanji on many different occasions, I would like to put it on paper form as well, as a possible inspiration for others to share their experiences too and as a reminder to myself to sit and write more! Therefore, I sincerely thank Monika Dizdarevic, who inspired me to make this step.

It all started in Berlin in 2013 when my marriage hit bottom. At that time, I was an unhappy married woman who left her homeland Serbia, friends and family and a decade of numerous attempts to pursue a career as an actress, with deep wounds and suppressed pain caused by unfulfilled dreams, broken relationships and poverty.

I met my husband in the summer of 2011 in Berlin. It was love at first sight, and soon after we met, we decided to get married. After seven months of knowing each other, I became Frau Fassbender, ready to start a fresh new life in one of the most welcoming cities in the world.

In the beginning, it all seemed well between us. We were different, our cultures and habits too, but I believed I would be able to accept them, digest them and learn to live with them.

Then reality hit. My long-term depression, fears, painful memories, everything came crashing down on me. I was in a foreign land; I didn’t know the language, I didn’t have friends and contacts, I was jobless, and I was unhappy with my marriage!

My husband loved me but was limited within his capacity, and he could not fully understand my depths and accept me. Little did I know that acceptance from his side wasn’t possible because I was the one who was sabotaging myself. I was the one who was torturing, judging and rejecting myself, unaware of the fact that he was only the reflection of my inner state. I had expectations. I was angry and scared; I was lost. The idea of reinventing myself was creating even more resistance in me. The pattern of victimhood in its peak!

By this time, our marriage became an agony for both. We constantly fought about everything.

One morning, I was alone at home, sitting in the kitchen, with the laptop in front of me, without any solution for my problem. Nothing seemed possible. Divorce was out of the question; I was not ready to accept that my marriage wasn’t going to last, but I couldn’t continue living in such misery either. Why this life? What’s the point of me being alive? I disappointed my family and friends; I was a complete failure, and so many other heavy thoughts ran through my head. Suddenly, I felt that the walls of my kitchen were coming towards me, and it was like the space around me was getting smaller and smaller. I’m going to suffocate; that’s it. The end is near.

I felt a heavy and sharp pain in my chest, but I managed to take as much breath as possible and said loudly: “GOD, PLEASE, HELP ME!”

Then I looked at my laptop and saw a notification on my Facebook. Its title was “How To Heal Your Life”. The video was about the book written by Louise Hay. I watched the video and immediately downloaded the book, and read it that same day. In the book, dear Louise says that the first step on a healing journey is to stop at least one bad habit immediately.

That day LIFE gave me a chance, and I didn’t want to blow it away. I decided to quit 17 years of a heavy smoking habit. If that will bring me out of “living on the earth” hell, I am ready to do whatever is necessary. I was determined.

I couldn’t believe how easy it was for me – like I’ve never smoked. Then I thought coffee doesn’t have the same taste without cigarettes and alcohol as well, so I quit them too. Soon after that, It was the same with meat. At that time, I also had big issues with some strange sort of pimples on my face and by removing all these habits, my face began to look better.

In a recent conversation with Mohanji, I mentioned that many of our people had/have skin issues, including himself. He said to be in the presence of the Master, one has to raise the frequency, and for many, the skin is the way to cleanse negativity; it’s a part of a cleansing process.

Soon after I read Hay’s book, I recognized an enormous hunger to understand the real cause of my suffering and the suffering in general. I thought, whatever is happening, my husband and I deserve better lives, even if we divorce.

I became eager to learn more about who, how, when, and what I truly am. That’s how I got in touch with many important spiritual books. One led to another, and two of them seriously helped me. The first one is the one and only Autobiography of a Yogi, by Paramahansa Yogananda. The second one is A New Earth, by Eckhart Tolle.

Therefore, I am and will be forever thankful for books and their authors that opened many doors and put me in a better place within myself, but that was obviously not enough.

After three months of literal isolation from everybody and of constant reading and accumulation of knowledge, on one particular day, I suddenly felt very upset, like an animal before an upcoming earthquake. I was walking nervously from one room to another, not knowing what could possibly calm me down, and no book seemed comforting enough at that moment. I needed tangible proof that I was on the right track and not going insane.

I decided to check FB, and guess what? The first that popped up on the feed was an article with the title “Mohanji, The Guru Who Finds You”. The title immediately caught my attention. That name Mohanji was somehow familiar to me. Then I remembered I heard about an Indian Guru, Mohanji, from Milan Bojic, a friend who opened the spiritual world door for me long ago when I still lived in Serbia. Still, I couldn’t remember anything more than that.

While reading the article, one sentence resonated with me very deeply: “Mohanji says: “The Guru is not a form or a person. Guru is a principle. It could take a human form and talk or come as a message from nature.” ….. or pop up on Facebook!

After I read the article, I went onto Mohanji’s website, and there I found guided meditation called Power of Purity. To my big surprise, this meditation was translated into many languages, including Serbian too. I decided to give it a try.

It was a quiet summer afternoon. I was alone at home and was more than ready to experience the meditation, mainly because I’d never meditated before. Power of Purity was my first meditation ever. I sat down on the bed, put the sound on and started to follow the instructions of the soothing voice of Devi Mohan. The atmosphere was solemn.

The heat overwhelmed my whole body. At first, I felt scared of the unknown feeling, but I decided to continue, no matter what. Then something happened which was beyond my wildest imagination. The moment I put the right hand in the blessing position, I felt a strong spiral vibration coming right out of my palm. I could clearly see how it reached my parents, my brother, and my friends and blessed them with white light. I was in shock and started to cry uncontrollably and continued to cry even when the meditation was over. I couldn’t move out of bed for more than an hour. I was heavy but light, strangely sad but unexplainably happy. I was overwhelmed with a feeling of love, a new kind of love, which was unknown to me until then.

Then I managed to get to the balcony and get some fresh air. To my surprise, all outside objects were very sparkly, and I couldn’t hear the noise from the streets. There was silence everywhere. I was in awe.

Then I felt a need to calm down. I went to the living room and intuitively picked the biggest book from the bookshelf, with the most beautiful architecture in the world and started to turn pages with maximum concentration on the content. By evening, I finally managed to calm down and fall asleep.

The next day, I wrote to Milan Bojic, hoping he would have an answer to what actually happened to me. Milan was visibly excited about my story. He said: ”Well, your Guru has appeared. There is nothing more important and sacred in life than to meet your Guru. You have ridden the wave, Lela! Don’t get off it, ever!”

So it was—the life before the Guru and the life with a Guru.
My rebirth happened that afternoon in August 2013.
Mohanji introduced himself in the most unusual and unconventional way. His way!

Since then, everything in my life has changed. EVERYTHING! Heavy baggage of lifetimes, full of expectations, anger, fears, unfulfilled desires and many other emotions, became so light.

At the first retreat, in a one-on-one session with Mohanji, he told me: “We have a lot to do together for this world, you’ll see.” Back then, I didn’t understand what he was talking about. Is he going to direct a movie or produce a movie? OMG…how limited our minds can be!!!

Now, after 10 years with Mohanji, I understand what he was talking about. His deeds speak for themselves! Mohanji is a platform. He created it for all of us. It’s on us to use it well and contribute with our talents to make this world better. Since I met Mohanji, I have lived a life of abundance. I have friends all over the world. I have a home and a family. I have clarity, mission and purpose!

Yes, people, that’s life in the presence of a living Master. One has to be, to live, to experience all those blessings, to be able to try to understand the love that the Guru has for each one of us. The unconditional love that he showers on us, regardless of how many times we fall.

What does he need from us? Nothing. He is presence, a mountain, the brightest sun that is always shining and is always available. It’s up to us whether we want to be plugged in.

Through all these years, I’ve learned that consistency, conviction and connection to the Guru (in my case – Mohanji) are the most important for grace to flow. Life is difficult without grace, and we all know how painful it can be. With the Guru’s grace, life is like a big pillow. Even when we think we got some bruises, they vanish within the shortest period, taking us one step closer to the final destination, total DISSOLUTION.

Mohanji’s grace, please, be with me always to make my human birth purposeful.

Blessings with music

By Arvind CS and Eesha Arvind, Canada

Eesha and I visited Mohanji’s Datta Tapovan Ashram on August 27 2022, for the 4th-anniversary celebrations. We arrived just before the afternoon aarthi. Other devotees were present at the ashram, and Eesha was blessed with the opportunity to start the aarthi for Mohanji. The divine energy at the ashram was electric. I closed my eyes and could feel the energy enveloping me, taking me in its arms and swaying me in Baba’s infinite beauty. I am unable to find words to describe the feeling other than “Pure Bliss.”

After the aarthi, we all got together for a nutritious and tasty lunch followed by lively discussions. One of the devotees, Aruna, shared her musical journey and her experiences with the group. She also shared her music along with songs sung by her father. Watching the videos and listening to the songs, Eesha, who was sitting next to Aruna, was getting excited. Eesha shared her musical journey also and one of her older videos of playing the sitar. During the discussions, we mentioned that Eesha has not been playing for over a year now, as she did not have a sitar. Listening to this, Aruna immediately shared that she has her father’s sitar and would be able to lend it to Eesha to practise.

Eesha was always musically inclined, and she was taking sitar classes in Edmonton, which were discontinued due to our move in July 2021. We have been looking to purchase a sitar, but it has never happened for almost a year. The high cost of purchasing a new quality sitar was prohibitive, and other avenues of finding a sitar never materialized.

Eesha was finally getting a sitar, and this was happening at the ashram in Mohanji’s and Baba’s presence. Both Eesha and I were very happy. As it slowly started sinking in, we were overwhelmed by the kindness and the grace of the Master, Mohanji. We had almost decided not to go to the ashram, but something in me compelled me to go. Mohanji orchestrated everything and made it all happen with so much grace and love. It was a wonderful experience for both Eesha and me.

Following this, the very next day, Aruna invited us to her house for tea. The sitar holds many sentimental and emotional memories for Aruna and her family as it belonged to her late father. Aruna showed Eesha the sitar. Eesha was initially hesitant to play the sitar, but with encouragement she started playing a tune on the sitar, and the tune she remembered was “Om Sai Namo Namaha.” We brought the sitar home and kept it in front of Mohanji, thanking him for his love and graciousness.

Eesha’s experience in her own words:

“The next day, I was sitting in front of our altar and looking at Mohanji’s picture. It looked like Mohanji was smiling at me. Then Mohanji’s aarti came to my mind, and I wanted to play it on the sitar. I wasn’t sure I would be able to play it, but I felt like I should at least give it a try. I started to play the strings and initially was having trouble getting the notes and the tune right.

But something in me wanted to continue practising. After a few attempts, I got the rhythm of the aarthi and played it to mom. My mom recorded it and shared it with Aruna and her friends. Later in the day, mom shared that Mohanji liked it. I was very happy. It was suggested that I do a video recording. I did not want to do this and was very hesitant. Mohanji gave me the idea to make an audio recording. I practiced the next day and stayed up late perfecting the aarthi and recording it.”

Often times when my parents ask me to play or practise the sitar, I really don’t want to play it, but when I sit in front of Mohanji, the music just takes over, and it flows through me. I forget everything, and it’s just me and my sitar, and it’s like someone else is playing the sitar.

Thank you, Mohanji, for your grace and blessings. I would like to continue playing the sitar, perfecting the art and sharing it with everyone to enjoy.”

EMpowered by Mohanji – 6

By Linda Abrol, Netherlands

Part 2

Yesterday, I allowed myself two cookies as a dessert after dinner and fed some to the ducks. The cookies contained chocolate, gluten and sugar, the three items that my body resist very much. For many years I had had the habit of taking something sweet once a day, after diner, even though I knew it was difficult for my body to process. I did this because total suppression of my craving for sweet food had an adverse effect. This was an effective compromise that made me enjoy the ‘sinful moment’ a lot. It was so much better than randomly taking these food items during the day. A very good step 1! After a long time, I was ready for step 2. I replaced the sweets or cookies by something more healthy and acceptable for my body. My stomach ache got less and allergic reactions as well. I slept better.

Craving also got less but is easily evoked. When Mohanji spoke yesterday to a lady about offering food to the animals when food-intake has become a habit and takes over, I regarded it as permission to start again with my after-dinner sweets-habit and gave some cookie crumbles to the ducks. They do have problems digesting grains, I have been told recently, but I gave it anyway. It was so little.

The next morning Mohanji said inside: ‘You didn’t do me a favour.’ He said it in a humoristic way, half smiling.

Before he said this, I felt his energy right inside of me, which felt amazing, and I had told him that he was so welcome to take over the wheel. After hearing his words, I realised what had happened: my action of yesterday was quite illogical. I had already successfully stopped with a habit and had replaced it with something much more effective. Now I interpreted Mohanji’s teaching of yesterday in my favour and went back to my old pattern. But since he was inside of me, he ‘suffered’ the consequences.

This reminds me of an incident of many years ago. My food habits were much of a problem at that time. I over-ate frequently, but after I had met Sri Sathya Sai Baba, one morning I heard his voice inside of me saying: ‘What did you eat? I ate aspirin yesterday.’ In two simple sentences, He made our unity clear and made sure that I understood that the God part in me was suffering from over-eating because it is much more difficult to raise my frequency to concentration and meditation levels. So the benefit of eating consciously has great advantages on the spiritual path. I love that both Sai Baba and Mohanji don’t judge me like I used to do myself. They just kindly made me aware of the consequences. That is very helpful. Love you, Mohanji!

Part 3

While I was sitting in my little temple this morning, the thought came: will I be as forgetful as my parents? They both had Alzheimer’s disease. I realised that my thoughts were not helping me and let them pass. Suddenly I heard Mohanji say inwardly: ‘I will give you so much of love that you will forget everything!’

What a beautiful message! Picking me up from where I was, he turned me into a whole new direction! My heart jumped, and my spirit got elevated to bliss level.

Today while doing the practice, I went into the cave of my heart. I found Mohanji there, embracing me and never letting me go. I could do nothing but cry. Totally in bliss, I forgot everything. The pain that I have, because my dear mother is dying at this very moment in time, vanished and turned into bliss, bliss, bliss. I love being forgetful! How is this possible? How can one feel blissful while her mother, whom she is so close to, is dying? I know I will cry a lot in the coming days, but I am sure this will carry me through the process. Thank you, Mohanji!

By Mimnasa Arora, India

This is my very first event with Mohanji; I have never met him physically or been in any live session. Since day one, at the start of the session, my head and the back of my neck started feeling very heavy, this remained like that for some minutes, but my mind was telling me that it was just any normal ache, the same happened on the 2nd day and on the 3rd day as well. On day 3, I had severe sinus issues and was hardly able to work that day because of a runny nose and teary eyes, this continued even during the session, and I was hardly able to focus or keep myself straight seated. Then somewhere in the middle, when Mohanji mentioned that he was working on all of us, I started expressing my gratitude and suddenly, within seconds, my whole nasal passage just got cleared; there was no sign of cold!

As someone who has had sinus problems for quite some time, I don’t experience such a clear passage very often. When I started expressing more gratitude, I could feel a lot of pressure on my 3rd eye and crown chakra. Now I know very well that it was all Mohanji’s doing and his way of working on us. My deepest gratitude to Mohanji, may we all always be under his protection.

Kalpataru series – He knows best

mohanji spore

By Shivani Manghani, UK

A lovely testimonial of a wish to buy a new home fulfilled with grace and protection. Shivani describes how Mohanji took care to ensure her family moved to the best home, avoiding any troubles along the way.

This Testimonial is a very small example to show how Mohanji works his magic to ensure that his devotees are always protected from the world’s adversities.

To give a brief background, I have never met Mohanji, but I feel a sense of deep connection to him after listening to his knowledge sharing sessions on several platforms. However, I have spoken to Subhasree, a Mohanji Acharya, and the one thing that stayed with me after the conversation with her was, “Welcome to the Mohanji family! You have a strong connection to him, without it, you would have never called.”

This particular incident that I’m writing about happened in the last few months. My husband and I have been thinking of moving houses for about five years now, and it has just never happened. With our son having no outdoor space access, we decided to take another chance during this pandemic. We had seen this particular house that we loved and offered for it on the same day. The sellers decided to respond within a few days after they got all the offers on the table.

As I’m quite superstitious, the one thing that bothered me was the house number. The house number was 71, which when added up, adds to number 8, which is not an auspicious number. However, I brushed that to the side as the house itself was amazing.

The one thing I prayed to Mohanji during this process was to bless us with a house that is best for us, and I just kept my faith and patience in him.

A few months later, after several rounds of negotiating, our offer finally got accepted, and we were delighted. Time passed by, and for some reason despite our offer being accepted, the process of initiating the purchase did not commence, so we decided to let this house go. To be honest, I was slightly disappointed; however, in my heart, I knew that Mohanji knows what’s best for us.

A few weeks later, we saw another house around the corner, and there were close to 15 people waiting to view this particular property. My hopes were close to nil, considering the competition.

When we went to see the house, the one thing that struck my attention was the house number…. Number 9! This was Sai’s number! We were super excited as we are ardent Sai devotees. I still didn’t raise my expectations to avoid disappointments; however, deep in my heart, I trusted Mohanji.

We made an offer on the same day and to our surprise, our offer got accepted immediately. I could only be grateful to Mohanji as we were both truly delighted. The process was initiated and completed in an exceptionally smooth manner. Now, this didn’t end there.

I already knew that this house that Mohanji had blessed us with was the best one for us, but Mohanji also decided to let us know why he didn’t let the process of purchasing house number 71 begin.

To our surprise, we got to know that the buyers who were in the process of buying house number 71, tried to offer on house number 9, months after our offer had been accepted. Our sellers were too kind to tell us this, and they also mentioned that they would never break our trust by taking any other offer in the middle of the buying process. We also got to know that the sellers of house number 71 decided not to sell the house months into the buying process. This caused both the buyer and the seller of house number 71, a lot of money and several months of lost time.

After listening to this, I had goosebumps as Mohanji not only saved us from this disastrous situation but also blessed us with an amazing home. I am utterly and truly grateful to a Master I have never met physically but who has protected us in every way possible. He is the bright light guiding us, and I am very lucky to be a part of his family.

Flying with me to Canada

view-mohanji

By Arpana Nazre, India

At the office, there came a situation where I had to travel to Canada on work. I was tense as I had to leave my little son and go. I am a single mother and have always been by his side at all times. It also meant that I had to leave him with my aged mother. She could take care of him, but it would not be same as me, since she had her physical restrictions though not less in spirit. I tried all ways not to go, but then the work demanded it and finally I had to make up my mind to go.

A month before I had to leave, Mohanji was in Bangalore, and we had various activities and Satsangs organized. At the end of one of the Satsangs, I told Mohanji that I would be travelling to Canada and I was terrified to leave my son since I had never done that before for such a long period considering he was still very young. He said, “Do what you HAVE to do.” He said whatever business reasons I am travelling for, is for my good only and I will find success in this project and future too. He also said, “I would be travelling with you to Canada.” When I told him that my family would be alone, he said in his typical loving style, “Main hoon Naa (I am there right)! I will take care of them.” And indeed he kept up his words.

He travelled with me and gave me signs of it too. And best of the best, he took care of my family too. My office work and relations improved too. What more could you ask in life, – the presence of a living legend, an elevated Master, Brahmarishi Mohanji with you. He sets everything right for us. Every step of our life is taken care of. OMG!! I can’t imagine how hard he works, while we complain of small pressures in life!! Here is a writeup of how Mohanji kept his words.

The day finally came, and with a heavy heart, I started on my journey. While I was boarding the flight to Canada from Bangalore, I think I saw a Chinese man, sitting right behind me. Don’t know what made me observe his presence. But there was something eerie about him.

I just looked at him before boarding the flight; he was still sitting in the waiting area. I got up to proceed to the security check-in to board the flight. Obviously, we are all in the queue. Since he was sitting, he was supposed to be still behind me. When I was going through security check-in, he was still sitting. Once I was inside the flight, I saw him standing right next to my seat. How did he reach before me? There was no way he could have reached since I was way ahead of him in the queue. Anyways, since he was blocking my way, I asked him to make space so I could take my seat. He looked at me, then made not only space but also took my cabin bag I had in my hand and kept in the luggage area without me asking him to do it and allowed me to sit. His action had a strange sense of care in it. He sat beside me for barely 5-10 minutes and soon left. After that, I didn’t see him for the entire flight. Since I was tired, I used his seat too to sit comfortably and also lie down.

Another point to note was – while all the TV monitors got switched off as the passengers were asleep, his seat TV never got switched off, despite the seat being empty. If there’s no activity from the user’s side, the monitors get switched off, but all through the flight, this was the only monitor that was on. Somehow, then, I started feeling it was Father (Mohanji). It was his way of telling me that I am with you. I was even mentally asking, “Father; it’s you right!” All through the flight, I was chanting Mohanji’s name and remembering him.

When we off boarded the flight and were walking out, I saw this person again, walking to the airport terminal exit, again right ahead of me! Where was he all this while? Also, while exiting the flight, there was no sign of him. He appeared out of nowhere!!! Another indication! Goosebumps!

It was as though, Mohanji was telling me and giving me indications, “I have started the journey with you and seen you through the entire journey.” Our human mind engrossed in the gross world doesn’t understand subtle indications. Probably, this was Mohanji’s way of giving me signs, “I am with you”. He had kept his promise when he told me that he would be travelling with me, and he also made sure that I get to know that it was him travelling with me. All through, there was always an inner voice which told me that it was him. Koti Koti Pranams to you, Mohanji. I know I can never thank you enough for being there for me always.

The person who is sitting behind was the one who also incidentally sat next to me in the flight. If you notice, there are two monks right ahead of him, and he is right between. Is it that he has his own guards too? Unbelievable.

I reached Canada safely and called back home to inform that I had arrived. By that time, my mother informed me that my son had a slight fever. I didn’t bother much, thinking that it would slowly come down, since it was just a fever. Next morning, when I called again, I was informed that the fever had increased and he was also vomiting. He had not eaten anything and was not taking medicines too. Since I was the one who used to always take care of him whenever he was sick, mom was finding it difficult to handle him. He was refusing to take medicines, and it was bothering her since if he doesn’t, his condition might get worse. I spoke to him over Skype, and when he looked at me, I instantly knew that he was missing me terribly and was trying to control his tears after seeing my face on Skype. But he behaved so maturely, he didn’t shed a drop of tear and kept looking at me and never said anything.

I asked him if he was missing me and he said, “Yes”. I could see he was controlling his emotions and not let them come out, lest it would disturb me.

I felt helpless and didn’t know what to do. Did I have to make this trip, leaving my child alone at this time? I prayed to Mohanji. I messaged mom, telling her to let him sleep without the medicine. He could take medicine after a nap. To which she replied that he drank the medicine by himself and went to sleep. He never takes medication by himself. It was a miracle by itself. I felt relieved to hear it and came to the office.

Next day again, he had started vomiting, and though the fever had come down, he was not eating his food and complaining of weakness and throat pain. I spoke to him for a long time, trying to convince him to eat something, else he might feel frail. He was not in a mood to listen, and I could see him turn pale due to weakness. I asked my mother to take him to a specialist for further guidance. Despite a lot of people coaxing him to eat, he was not ready to budge and eat anything and complained of throat pain. I felt the same helplessness again. I prayed to Mohanji again, and chanted Mohanji Gayatri, all through my commute to the office from the hotel. When I reached the office, I got a call from mom, saying that he ate his food by himself, and now he is playing with his cousin—miracle of miracles. I had seen him on the skype video chat; he was terribly weak and suffering. In half an hour, there’s no way he could have recovered all by himself. Mohanji was at work again. Tons of gratitude and love to Mohanji for taking care of my family. He always keeps up his promise. He indeed was taking care of my family at this critical time. Not only my neighbours and family offered to help take my son to the doctor voluntarily but also turned up right in time for other necessities during his illness. Finally, with Mohanjis blessings, Ansh (my son) got well within a few days. He was fit and fine.

Another incident which I can never forget is, how even during my stay in Canada, Mohanji ensured that I am well guarded all through the day. I am just quoting a few here.

During the weekend, we were visiting some places for sightseeing. We took a bus, and I sat in the very front seat of the bus. By that time, another passenger got onto the bus, and he didn’t have enough coins to buy the tickets. He caught my attention as he was speaking to the driver. The driver said, either you need to buy a daily pass card to use the bus services, or you need to render exact change to buy the ticket instantly on the bus. He was a little confused, and he said, “Ok, I will get down and buy the pass and board the next bus.” By the time, the driver, knowing he was a tourist, said, he would allow him to travel this one time without a ticket since he was new here. I noticed him because of all this commotion. Finally, that passenger got into the bus. I forgot about this incident and person, and we went to our destination and were roaming around. While I was near the aquarium, I think I again saw him right behind us. It dint occur to me at that time, but we must have seen him a couple of more times during the day.

End of the day, we were back to our hotel area and stopped by to buy some groceries for the week. Suddenly, my roommate said that the person who had boarded the bus in the morning was in the same superstore. Vancouver is a vast place, with lots of supermarkets, buses and sightseeing destinations. The fact that he chose the same bus, same place(s) and the same supermarket too, was too much of a coincidence. I knew at that instant that it was either Mohanji or one of his angels taking care of us. BLESSED BLESSED BLESSED. Not sure if I deserve all this, but we know, Mohanji is unconditional love and keeps up his promise no matter what.

Finally, on the project work getting straightened; it was a new project, and I was just 2-3 months old in the project. I was already feeling the pressure. It was too much and unbearable. There was a time, when one of the days, I just snapped and with tears in my eyes, I decided I was not capable/eligible of handling this project. There was too much going on, and I could not handle the same. But somewhere down the line, I knew that Mohanji put me in this project for some reason; for me to grow, learn some lessons.

I messaged Mohanji that I might not be eligible for this project. Mohanji’s team replied, “Things would be fine. Do what you have to do with an attitude of surrender. He is with you always.” In-spite of a lot of hurdles and working odd hours, long hours etc., I continued working on the project. Somehow internally, I knew that this is something I need to go through probably, for my good and growth. I remember Mohanji saying while he was in Bangalore – “When the disciple has reached a certain level, he increases the fire. The temperature increases and it becomes more difficult, but that’s the test we need to pass.” I kept my faith in him because it is my experience that if he has increased the fire, he is also walking with me, holding my hand and giving me all the support to walk this tough terrain. And it was proved time and again. While working on this project, many a time, since it was completely new, and none of my previous years of experience helped, problems have got solved just like it was a miracle. Until the last minute, I wouldn’t know how to go about a problem, with no help around. Next minute somehow there would be a help or an idea in some form or the other.

I was also entrusted with three big projects which cost huge amounts to the company. It was not about the money, but the trust that was placed on me to carry out the same that mattered to me. Many things which seemed impossible at the beginning just cleared out, by merely surrendering to him. I finally realized that we are not the doers at all. Who are we in this vast space of the universe to claim ownership of things? When his grace is there, hard work is ours, but finally, good results are because of HIM.

It is a true blessing to have a guru of Mohanji’s stature in our lives.

This writing is my humble way of showing gratitude and also at the same time, requesting others to have firm faith in Guru, no matter what. Masters are there with us all the time, to hold our hands in this journey of life. At the same time, they remind us of our duties to ourselves and the world. We keep taking things from various people, places, family, friends, earth, and cosmos. We need to start thinking, what have we done in return. A lesson I learnt from Mohanji is that he only gives, and never asks anything. All he asks is to treat everyone with love and gratitude and not to harm anyone AND GIVE BACK TO THE WORLD AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I pray that I live up to his teachings!

Koti koti Pranams to Mohanji!

Kalpataru Series – A birthday wish

By Shyama Jeyaseelan, UK

Exactly a year ago….

It was exciting to book my flights to Serbia. The opportunity to see Mohanji again after a few months was a beautiful blessing. My plan was to volunteer during the Acharya training in October and return. While looking at the flights, my husband said that if I stayed a little longer, I would be with Mohanji for my birthday. It was a great suggestion and having managed to get a few more days of annual leave from work; we booked the trip to include the weekend retreat after the Acharya training.

This was my first visit to Serbia and how beautiful it was. All the wonderful ladies of Mohanji Foundation Serbia made me feel very much at home with their loving hospitality. Despite the back to back programmes and hectic schedules, they made sure I was comfortable, and well looked after. The Acharya training was intense and amazing. We were all so blessed with wonderful experiences with Mohanji.

There was a gap of a day to travel to the venue of the retreat after the training, and my birthday fell on that day. Therefore, it seemed unlikely that I would see Mohanji, but I couldn’t be disappointed as we had all been with him for more than a week, enjoying his loving presence with us immensely.

Following a long drive, we arrived at the beautiful hotel where the retreat was taking place. After helping the team to set up in the satsang hall, I went to my room to shower and rest. A little while later, there was a gentle knock on the door, and it was Monika asking me to join the rest of the team upstairs.

Unknown to me, through my husband and a fellow Acharya from the UK, the team had found out it was my birthday. To my utmost surprise, there was a cake organised for me. Everyone sang and wished me a happy birthday, and it truly was! The unexpected joy of having Mohanji, Deviji and little Mila coming into the room to wish me happy birthday was just awesome!

Having a loving hug from Mohanji on my birthday was so very special. After touching his feet with love and gratitude, I verbalised a prayer that I have made to Mohanji many times in my heart – “Mohanji, please bless me to love you more and more each day.” Placing his hand gently on my head, he said, “Tathastu!” (So be it). That wonderful affirmation from Mohanji, and the gentle touch filled with so much love, gave me immense joy. Often, words are not enough to describe our intense feelings, and this was one such magical moment.

While Mohanji was talking with the team about the preparations for the retreat which was starting the following day, and listening to the conversation flowing around me, I sat near Mohanji’s feet, totally filled with love and gratitude. A birthday wish fulfilled in such a wonderful way, will be cherished forever. Whenever I remember Mohanji’s single word of a powerful blessing and the gentle touch on my head, I’m filled with so much love, comfort and peace. It was a promise to my heart that he will always be with me.

My heartfelt gratitude to the Serbian team for making my visit so beautiful, to Deviji and Mila for all the memorable times, and to Mohanji for his loving grace which he showers on us all, fulfilling wishes, even the silent ones that we express to him in our hearts.

My experience with Guru Raksha Homa and Intuition

by Bhumika, Canada

I wanted to take this beautiful opportunity to share my experience of the Guru Raksha Homa. I have read testimonials about it and had contacted an Acharya in June about the same, but there wasn’t any inclination in me or instinct to get it done. I just felt that I have the protection and blessings and don’t need to do this. It was also shared with me that the Homa not only helps the individual but also helps to cleanse the entire family lineage. It seemed alien to me. Since I didn’t understand, I didn’t think of it much and left it at that.

I have experienced that when Mohanji needs to get something done, he will arrange for it, and execute it beautifully. On Monday, August 17, 2020, the primary announcement was made about celebrations over the weekend (Ganesh Chaturthi, Sreepad Srivallabh Jayanthi, and second Anniversary of Datta Tapovan Ashram). That same day in the morning during meditation, the word ‘Homa’ flashed into my head, out of the blue. By now, I am getting a little familiar with the variety and beautiful ways Mohanji communicates and reaches out to his devotees. So, I contacted the team at Datta Tapovan Ashram in Toronto and received a confirmation on Wednesday that the Guru Raksha Homa was scheduled for Sunday. I wouldn’t have missed this opportunity.

On Sunday, August 23, I read Mohanji’s blog on Telegram, where he shared about his beautiful daughter Ammu. It was Ammu’s 20th death anniversary. After doing the kakad aarti, I spoke with Mohanji (his picture) and felt his pain as mine. He knows everything that conspires so he may not have needed any comforting, but I still attempted to comfort him. I did feel the pain, but I was able to focus on his message that something beautiful came out of it, Ammucare happened, and now it’s globally supporting so many human beings in various ways and fulfilling the mission.

It was time for the Homa and other scheduled events for that day, and I was able to participate in the events with ease without getting worked up. In the night, I heard Mohanji’s Podcast – “In memory of Ammu- Loss transformed into something positive.” Something shifted within me, listening to Mohanji’s words and his voice. Contrary to how I was able to see through and focus on the bigger picture, in the night listening to him, I couldn’t focus on that. I felt a deep pain within.

I was caught with Mohanji’s comments and details shared about the last day he saw Ammu alive. He shared minute details about that day, Ammu’s wet kiss on his cheeks, it felt as if it was just yesterday. And the circumstances described by Mohanji that he had to leave and Ammu was crying, as flights and plans were scheduled and needed to be executed; that’s where I was stuck, I wasn’t able to see past it.

I realized that my emotions were running high and combined with fear, it was picking momentum and turning into something nasty. I have a toddler who had had a difficult birth and continues to struggle with health and immunity to the extent that he had to be incubated when he was not even a year old and I didn’t know whether he would survive.

Seeing him go through so much, I guess there must have been a fear that was rooted deep within me. I couldn’t take it anymore. I had an intuition to call Bhavani, Mohanji’s Acharya from the USA. Bhavani was very generous and kind to unconditionally give her precious time away from her family and kids. I am so grateful to her for that day. I was heading to a very dark place, I was tipping over a cliff and falling, and Mohanji held my hand by working through Bhavani.

I started sharing details with Bhavani and also mentioned the Guru Raksha Homa. From her experience and listening to my history, she tried to convince me that this is all part of cleansing. She said, “You may have had a deep-rooted fear of losing a child, and it could be that you may have had this experience in your previous lives. With the Homa, it’s coming to the surface and cleansing is happening from your system.” She was really kind to me and very generous to share details from her life. It is any parent’s worst nightmare to lose a child, and I am no different. I went on crying and sobbing. Bhavani tried in so many ways by giving many examples to convince and comfort me and assure me that nothing wrong will happen. She commented that your faith would be tested at every step and to hold on to it tightly. And when nothing was happening, she firmly commented, “Okay, you can either hold on to your faith or keep crying like this”. LOL!!!!!

It may have been her voice, but those were Mohanji’s words. And I knew it was Mohanji, but the moment Bhavani uttered those words I could immediately experience a shift within me. I felt Mohanji was frustrated with me as I was so engulfed in emotions that nothing logical was registering in me, not even the evidence from Bhavani’s experiences. Mohanji has a lot of patience, but I was exhibiting delirium, for no reason.

That comment from Bhavani and in the way she said it did the magic. Listening to the words, “Hold on to your faith” took me out of the dark place. I calmed down, stopped crying and was peaceful. Bhavani stayed with me over the phone until she was convinced that I was okay. What started with crying and being fearful ended up with laughter, discovering a connection and love!

I have been part of the celebrations at the Datta Tapovan Ashram since Friday afternoon via zoom. Sunday was the last day of celebrating the festivities. Bhavani helped me conclude my prayers by offering Dakshina. Prayers should always be accompanied by Dakshina in any form. With Bhavani’s guidance, I donated towards Mohanji Ka Aangan and ACT4HUNGER; both the causes close to my heart. I felt so fulfilled, light and happy.

Only after talking to Bhavani, I could see through Mohanji’s leelas and his divine blessings. He directed me to get the Homa done for my benefit on such an auspicious day and freed me from a deep-rooted pain or fear that I wasn’t even aware of. If left unaddressed, it may have grown and interfered with me moving forward on this path. There was plenty of chanting and positive energy around me since Friday with the prayers. Mohanji’s Canada team worked effortlessly to ensure all the devotees tuning in via zoom have blissful experiences. It was just beautiful. Kudos to the entire team! Thank you Mahesh Ji for the Homa.

I am so thankful to Bhavani. I am filled with gratitude and love towards Mohanji. He gives unconditionally and doesn’t expect anything in return.

Before sleeping, I offered gratitude to Mohanji. The fear which had once engulfed me transformed into firm faith. I told him (to his picture), “Mohanji, you will never let anything happen to my kids. I know they are protected. I know you will take care of them. As a parent, you have experienced the loss of your daughter; in my heart, I know you will not let me go through that excruciating pain.”

The next day morning after my Kriya, I checked my messages and Bhavani had forwarded Mohanji’s quote that day, and you won’t believe what He had said. It is so surreal, at times, I have to pinch myself to make sure this is happening. Mohanji’s quote was,

“You will not have the struggle what I went through because I have already made the path for you to walk on, effortlessly.”

Mohanji

Mohanji really loves us unconditionally, his love is just infinite!

He was firm with me when he needed to be, and then he embraced me as a mother when I needed the assurance and motherly love. Mohanji is a lot of things for me, a friend, (my only friend), mother, father, and Guru! He works tirelessly for all of us. He takes so much upon himself. What I can comprehend based on my capacity and eligibility doesn’t even touch the surface of how generous and kind he is. It’s beyond my comprehension. He is with me in ways that I am not even aware.

To all those who are reading this, please know that I have never met Mohanji in person and I only started following him since April this year. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter how long you have known him in this life, whether you have met him in person, or if you are in close proximity to him, he doesn’t need a physical body to connect with us. He is energy, and we have to connect to that. And Mohanji repeatedly comments and asks us to connect with his consciousness and not stay limited to his physical form.

I am sharing this because I used to be that person who always used to wonder, “Why not me”, “When will I get such an experience”, “Oh, I wish I had that too”. I think the shift happened when I started to let go, surrender and began to experience others’ experiences as my own, I could feel their happiness and be with them in their experience. With Mohanji’s grace, I have started having awareness and recognition of his mystic ways. He communicates in so many ways, and it’s so beautiful even to describe it. In my experience, he will give me messages during meditation or through another devotee, dreams; I will hear his voice. There is an intuition, and I will follow it. Most of these messages are so out of character for me, that I know it is not my mind playing tricks, rather some higher divine energy in play. Mohanji has connected me to specific Acharyas for a specific reason. He has orchestrated events for me to be at the right time to receive the information required. Things such as listening to a replay of a video under the ‘Women Power Online Boot Camp’; joining a satsang where a guest speaker shares her experiences of her journey to Kailash with Mohanji, (I was not even aware of this event and received a last-minute invite).

Similarly, I got last-minute access to participate in Conscious Dancing with Devi Mohan on zoom; got my driver’s license renewed on the last day in 10 minutes! I can go on and on and on; there is no end to it. All I can say is, I love it. It’s like walking on water; it’s so liberating like someone is carrying me off my feet, I don’t feel the burden, the pressure. I just feel love!

Mohanji wanted me to get a Homa done, he knew that it is something I needed, but I had no clue. He spoke to me through Bhavani and said exactly what I needed to hear. His quote the following day was an assurance to me that he has heard everything I said to his picture the previous night and he was assuring me that he will not let anything happen.

Those who have just joined Mohanji, please don’t let anything come your way in connecting with him. I am telling you, he listens when you talk to him, even to his picture.

It is my ancestors and my parents’ karma that I am reaping the benefits and Mohanji’s grace in this lifetime. I have never experienced such unconditional love in my entire life. If I take one step towards him, he is taking ten towards me.

Believe me; I am not special; I am nothing. All I do is keep talking to him; that’s all I do. Whatever comes to my head, I tell him.

Sorry, Mohanji, there might be ‘message traffic’ coming your way in future and knowing that you love silence, this will be fun! Just kidding, I love you from the bottom of my heart (you can be at multiple places at the same time) I have loved you in my previous lifetimes too (an intuition). Writing this experience is also an intuition, it has been on my mind all day today, and I knew I had to do it.

Mohanji, always, always bless us!

The grace of a living Master

shiva

By Tanjila Akhter, Bangladesh

Namaste, I am 23 years old and I have a small beautiful family with my husband and a son who is only two years old. I have completed my Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Dhaka University. I would love to share my experiences and journey towards Mohanji and how his teachings helped me and transformed my life completely; and how my life became so open from any small and limited notions.

Even though I am from a Muslim background, now I have the same respect for all religions because I realise that even though our rituals are different, our destination is the same. We came from one Source and we will return to that same Source, and this actualization makes me feel that life is full of blessings and grace.

expereince

My spiritual journey started with my first Guru, Sufi Saint Baba Jahangir. But it was just a ritual at that time. Even though Baba’s teachings are very powerful, I found it very complicated to understand the deepest meanings of his core messages with my limited capacity and knowledge about spiritualism. My lack of insight was such that I was not able to understand Baba’s teachings about liberation, detachment, unconditional love, no expectations, silence, etc.

On the day (25th April), when Baba Jahangir took Maha Samadhi, I realized something very unique as if from the very core of my being a confirmation that Baba does not leave us, he is always with us and I felt his presence very strongly that day. Even though I felt his strong presence inside my heart, yet another thought arose in my mind about who would teach us practically when Baba is no more in his body! But I surrendered all my thoughts to Baba with the conviction that time will surely be the answer. A few days later, my husband and I came to know about Lisa who is also a devotee of Baba Jahangir and a Mohanji Acharya (even though at that time I had no clue who Mohanji was).

We created a WhatsApp group with the intention that we could have some discussions about spiritualism. We were 9 people at first. Later on, a few more people joined us. We started our satsang through video call and Lisa started talking to us about various aspects of life and truth. We continued for almost two months, attending the satsang every single day. Sometimes we discussed all night long, tirelessly. All of us started enjoying the satsangs as if a new zone had opened up for us.

satsang
Satsang with Mohanji

Now, this was entirely new to me and I was very surprised just to listen to all these various types of topics which were kind of food for my thoughts. My feelings were such that I had been hungry for this food for long periods of time and searching for this kind of clear explanations and insights which were extremely meaningful to me, and I felt like everything made perfect sense to me now. Later on, we came to know that these were Mohanji’s core teachings, which is the same as Baba Jahagir’s teachings, but Mohanji’s teachings were really easy to understand not only theoretically, but we were also inspired to do things practically.

For the first time ever, I realized each life is valuable in this world and no beings were born to satisfy my selfish desire for food, clothing, etc. From that day, I took the decision to become a vegetarian. Before that, beef was one of my most favourite foods.

One month later, I felt that Lisa should come to my house. I invited her and she immediately agreed, (I was completely unaware what great blessings were waiting for us) and on 27th May, Lisa came to our home and straightway from the next day (28th May) my husband, I and the other people who were present there became completely vegetarian without any effort.

I was totally surprised to see my transformation.  This would never have been possible if we had not known about Mohanji’s teachings through Lisa. For the first time, I could feel how cruel and insensitive we had been! Just for the taste of our tongue, we killed so many lives and this is a huge crime we are performing through our wrong traditional pedagogy. After becoming a vegetarian, my spiritual journey started to improve immediately.

lifestyle

My awareness became sharper than before. I even started realizing the main goal of my existence which I was completely unaware of before. I realize that liberation is my only goal, and I am ready to do anything to achieve this goal. I also realize that all my roles in this lifetime have to be played without any attachments which were never clear to me before. After Mohanji’s teachings, I have started practicing all these things deliberately, and with patience. I never knew that patience could be that hard for these practices, but I am so grateful that I am growing slowly but steadily.

Also, I have learned how powerful gratitude could be! Lisa recommended us to practice the Power of Purity (PoP) meditation every day and just listening to Mohanji’s voice made my mind so peaceful. Now PoP guided meditation has become my regular practice.

Also, I realized the mind factor, and how our own mind can be the highest destructive force of our lives, and with conviction and regular practice, we can even change the blueprint of our mind. In that absolute sense, we all have the power to destroy our comfort zones and make our lives positive and worthwhile by living and sharing unconditionally, which is an act of tremendous courage that we all have. We just need the right guide to give us directions and we are so lucky that in this life we found Mohanji. The absolute Truth in our life is our living Master Mohanji.

I am unable to explain my gratitude to Mohanji, but I am sure he knows my heart which is beating now by his name, all day and night. His name has become my maha-mantra (MOHANJI). With his holy name, one can participate in any aspect of life. This is my conviction. During the first few weeks, my mind was playing a game with me – what if I am doing wrong by trusting Lisa or accepting Mohanji as my living Master? I was a bit confused but Masters knows our minds more than us.

gratitude

One day Baba Jahangir appeared in my dream and gave me confirmation that Mohanji is my present Guru whom I came to know through Lisa. When I initially saw Mohanji’s picture, my first thought was he is none other than Moula Ali, who is our Imam riding a horse in a battle against all negative energies. And I knew that my journey had started with my Guru Mohanji.

On the 4th of June, Lisa inaugurated the altar of Guru Mandala in my house. What a wonderful experience we all had that day. Everyone felt Mohanji’s strong presence and we were all amazed at how Mohanji is giving us so many experiences without even asking. We could offer only love and we did that from our hearts, but Mohanji gave us everything, that love which we never felt in our entire life, even from our parents. On the same day, I saw Mohanji’s smiling face standing in front of my eyes and watching me always.

When we finished the aarati and sat down for the meditation, I felt that Mohanji was looking at me and smiling. Then two glorious faces appeared in front of me and both of them were looking at me with their bright eyes, with lots of light coming from them. A few days later when I sat for meditation, I felt that I was sitting inside Mahavatar Babaji‘s body and his body was as big as Kailash. After inaugurating the altar, I witnessed many experiences. Many times Mohanji gave me experiences through dreams.

During the time Lisa stayed at our house, for the first time, we visited many temples such as the Kali temple, Shiva temple, Loknath Baba’s temple, ashrams, etc. and had various types of experiences.

We also had the opportunity to meet a living Avadhoota, and this was later confirmed by Mohanji (we didn’t know the meaning of an Avadhoota until Lisa explained to us later on). Our experiences with Ma Avadhoota were so sacred. She knows everything about Mohanji, and told us, “Mohanji is Mahadev.” She is blind but she saw Mohanji through her third eye and explained how Mohanji looks like, and she prayed to Mohanji if she could see him in her lifetime.

Now, only Mohanji knows if he would come to us or not, but we keep calling him from our hearts. I want to share about my two-year-old child who has started chanting the Maha Mrithyunjaya mantra and keeps calling Jai Mohanji and Sai Baba all the time. We are really amazed to see how he could do that continuously. Almost every day, my two-year-old child goes to the altar and rings the bell, says Jai Mohanji and kisses him, bows down like a grown-up man, as if he knows everything that he needs to do, and this is truly beyond anything anyone can even assimilate.

It was beyond my imagination that I could have all these experiences and to have found my living Master Mohanji like this. I often wonder what I have done to have all this grace and blessings within this sort period of time. I have also learned never to take anything for granted.

I surrender everything at Mohanji’s holy feet as he is my protector, he will protect me and my family till my end. With this prayer I started my journey, and I will pray until my end. I would like to dedicate the first Guru mantra that I memorized, to Mohanji.

Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwaraha

Guru Saakshaat Para Brahma, Tasmai Sri Gurave Namaha

In the divine embrace!

Mohanji wave

By Subhasree Thottungal

20th April 2020. Amidst the fight with the negativity of Corona situation all across the globe, while spreading positivity through various online programmes, shocking news came from the parental home that shook me to the core! News that I had not expected to hear! My 2nd brother Bibhu, succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest and had left us all forever! He was healthy, happy, joyful and very active. He was just 50 years old. On that day he had been active, he had cooked a yummy special lunch that the family enjoyed, and after lunch when he was standing and talking, he suddenly fell backwards! Within minutes everything was over.

They were in Odisha, in India, my motherland. My father and mother, who are 83 and 77 years old respectively, are in deep sorrow and the whole family sunk into shock. Sitting in London, thousands of miles away, in the lockdown situation, I cannot even travel there to be with my family. What deep sorrow! Right now, with the Corona situation, we hear many shocking and deeply saddening stories of a sudden loss of family members. Going through one myself, even though not due to Corona, put me into deep contemplation.

I am writing here today, not to show how sad we are or how unfortunate the situation is, but I want to bring some facts into light that shows the amazing way that Mohanji’s divine grace works! Silently as ever in the background.

During my deep contemplation, the divine leela (play) was unfolded to me, I realised the greater truth. Once I realised this, I felt I must bring out this truth and express my understanding with all of you.

This is my expression of gratitude to my eternal guide, my eternal friend, my eternal Guru, Mohanji.

I will need to take you through some details, hence please bear with the long descriptions. But without these details, it will not be easy to understand the silent ways in which Mohanji works.

So here it goes.

Grace in smooth completion of rituals:

As soon as I heard the news that my brother is no more, I messaged Mohanji. He replied, “I am taking care of him.”  Harish (my husband) said to me, “Don’t worry, Mohanji will make sure that all rituals happen smoothly.” There was a reason why I was worried. In the current lockdown situation, there is hardly any free movement possible, not many people can come to help my elder brother, who was at the hospital and was now solely responsible for sorting everything, with just my sister-in-law and one sister around. Since this was a sudden cardiac arrest scenario and he had already left the body by the time they reached the hospital, a post-mortem was necessary before they could release the body. It was nearly 6 pm and the post-mortem department closes at 5 pm! Police permission is required to take the body around in a vehicle with a few people. As movement is so restricted, this was a worry. And finally, where can they do the cremation? The lockdown situation was leaving my elder brother helpless. But when we have divine grace, when Mohanji is looking after us, nothing was going to be difficult! Retrospectively, we realised this. Quite unexpectedly, we got a relative’s help and the post-mortem was done quickly, police permission was received immediately and the last rights were carried out in Puri, Shree Jagannath Dham, at ‘Swargdwar’, the gateway to heavens. It’s a dream for all Odiya people (people from the state of Odisha) to have their last rights done in this place. This is a town about an hour and a half away and travels outside the city wasn’t an easy deal! But everything happened smoothly, the travel, the last rights at Swargdwar and all the rituals finished in mere 4-5 hours! Unbelievable! I remembered what Harish had said to me earlier, “Mohanji will make everything work out smoothly.” I was witnessing this!

The soul’s journey to Light:

Sitting in London, it was getting very difficult for me to accept the situation. Especially since I was unable to even travel immediately, it was making me very uncomfortable. Very much stressed, I dozed off for a while. After some time, I woke up with a start/unusual feeling. I felt that my brother’s soul was unsettled. I got worried. The last thing I wanted at this time was for his soul to be unsettled, not in peace! I got truly worried. I wondered what to do? What mantra can I chant? What ritual can I do? An immediate thought came to my mind, should I ask Mohanji? At that point, we called my elder brother and understood that the rituals of the last rights had just started.

Immediately after that, within 5 minutes, I received a call from Mohanji. And he advised me of a simple ritual to do. He said, “As a family member, you do this 3 times. After that, I will take care.” He repeated this a couple of times. That was the greatest reassurance to me at that point. Moreover, I was totally blown over by the fact that a few minutes back I was thinking of reaching out to Mohanji asking him what to do, and he called me and showed the way! After the ritual, I could feel a lightness and I knew, my brother’s soul was now at peace. The next day, I heard from my nephew (my brother’s son) who was doing the rituals that he noticed a peaceful smile on my brother’s face! And when I was looking into the timelines, this was just after Mohanji’s assurance and the rituals that he suggested! I realised, without a doubt, Mohanji had done his job! As he said, “I will take care”, and indeed he had done that!

Healing to me and my family:

Even though I was aware of the karmic agenda of the soul that I knew as my brother and the karmic agenda of all the family members, it was still a great sadness and I was unable to handle the heaviness. I was feeling very distressed and heavy. At one point, I felt if I should reach out to one of our Mai-Tri practitioners? Then I reminded myself of Mohanji’s words. Mohanji is looking after. He is taking care. When we are in his direct protection, why worry? Later on, when I was talking to my mother, I felt her extreme pain. Losing her son is unimaginable pain for any mother. I had no words to console to my elderly mother on the phone from so far away. I didn’t know what to do! Once again, I surrendered to Mohanji and I slept that night.

Mohanji3

The next morning, when I woke up, I was feeling slightly lighter. And then I thought to myself, I should just write to Mohanji about my mother. Knowing that he is anyway taking care, sometimes by conveying my thoughts through words gives me a complete release of pain. So I did, and Mohanji immediately responded, “Yes. I am aware. I shall do whatever I can.”

He also wrote, “Inevitable karma decides the life of individuals. Like Maha Kaali told the Avadhoota that she cannot even extend one hour of his life from the original or decrease one hour from the original. Even deities honour karma. I am trying to reduce its impact on the people affected. Keep doing what I had told you to do that day. Puri Jagannath never lets anyone down. Believe me.”

After reading this message, I felt the heaviness from my heart disappear! At that time, I saw a new video message from Mohanji being posted. I opened it and while my eyes were watching Mohanji through the video and my ears were listening to Mohanji’s voice, I dozed off again!

Sometime later, my phone rang. I could barely open my eyes; I looked at the phone but fell asleep again!

After some time, I felt a slight pressure on my left shoulder. I saw Mohanji’s right hand with a red/orange thread on his wrist! Yes, I had a clear vision of Mohanji’s right hand holding my left shoulder! I woke up and just then my phone rang again. I picked it up this time. (It was as if Mohanji woke me up to attend the phone call!)

It was my mother on the other side. I was pleasantly surprised to hear her voice, with a clear difference from the previous day. I felt as if the huge dark load had been released from her too. She was still sad and was crying, but the heavy negative darkness from the previous day that was also making me heavy had gone! I spoke to her for a long time! After talking to her, I realised, Mohanji had surely healed her. I remembered the message he had sent me that morning! My eyes filled with tears at Mohanji’s immense compassion. Mohanji responds to me, my every thought, my every word, even when I don’t speak to him! He never stops delivering his unconditional love, support and compassion. Just then I received a message from my friend from Mohanji family in the USA, telling me that the previous night, Mohanji had asked her to do Mai-Tri for me! The previous night! When I was so heavy! I had no words! Mohanji himself had organised me to receive Mai-Tri! Remember, I was feeling like asking someone for Mai-Tri but didn’t? But Mohanji knew what was needed!

i am with you

Oh, Mohanji! Only these words from my melting heart came out. Arranging my healing, removing the heaviness from my mother, I knew Mohanji had healed her too. I expressed my gratitude to Mohanji and my ever compassionate Guru wrote back, “I care for you.”

Well, do I need any more proof!

Mohanji’s caring doesn’t end here. Let me continue after this.

Sorry this is getting long, but believe me, every word of this story that I am narrating in my current grieving situation, is coming with my highest realisation of truth.

Arranging divine grace for the soul:

When I was talking to my mother, I was discussing the various rituals that we need to be doing here in London. I was wondering, in our current lockdown situation, that I cannot even call a priest to do the rituals on special days!

Once again, Mohanji heard this thought and sorted out my dilemma. Let me explain how.

Later that morning, I received a condolence message from Swami Surya from the Skanda Vale ashram. The moment I saw his message, I wondered if maybe I could request him if they could do puja on the special days as per our rituals. With slight hesitation, I mentioned this to him. Swami Surya, wrote back, the day for which I was requesting, was, in fact, such an auspicious day and they have special pujas in all the temples in Skanda Vale, ending with a Mahabhishek in the Maha Kali temple! He said he will gladly offer the puja that day for my brother. My eyes opened widely at this message from him. Puja at Maha Kali temple for my brother’s soul! And you know what? My brother has been a great devotee of Maha Kali from his childhood!

And now, amidst the lockdown situation, such a divine blessing was planned, all by Guru Mandala. My head bowed down to Mohanji again. It wasn’t too difficult for me to realise that this was indeed Moahnji’s leela, yet again answering my thoughts, “How can I do the rituals”, and arranging Swami’s message to come to me at the right time etc.!

Last but not least, feeding the Brahmins:

After arranging the puja at Skanda Vale for the 11th-day ceremony, I felt like arranging some food seva in India through Ammucare for these 11 days as Ammucare was already doing daily feeding of the poor people whose income had stopped completely due to the lockdown situation. I felt what better ritual can I arrange than offering food seva for the poor people in my brother’s memory.

I contacted Soma didi, Ammucare President and she very kindly agreed to this request. She asked me where I would like this annadanam to happen. I said anywhere they are doing is fine, but if they can arrange it in Shirdi, that would be great. She then mentioned that it may be difficult as there was a lot of police restrictions etc. in Shirdi at the moment. I assured her it didn’t matter, wherever they can do, that would be a great seva.

The next day, I was talking to my mother again. She mentioned at a point that on the 10th and 11th days, we needed to feed at least that many Brahmins/priests. But due to the lockdown situation, they were not getting more than 3!

As soon as I kept the phone, I saw a message from Ammucare team, in which they had given the schedule for the 11 days of feeding!

During the first 3 days, feeding in Shirdi!

During the following five days, feeding in Ganeshpuri.

And last 3 days, feeding in Arunachala, and to Sadhus!

This was clearly a divine arrangement again! We had wanted Shirdi, but it had not seemed possible. But the team had managed to arrange it there.

And the last 3 days, for the most important ritual days, if not Brahmins at my mother’s place, feeding Sadhus in Arunachala! Can it be any more auspicious than this?

Also, when we were worried that we were not able to call many people and offer food during these days, the food seva happening during all the 11 days in these places was much more than what we could have anyway done!

When I narrated about this to my family, all were so grateful to Ammucare and its volunteers, and above all to Mohanji.

It’s not a big thing to realise that it was no one but Mohanji, who was ensuring that all these wishes were being fulfilled, doing everything possible to bring peace to my brother’s soul and some solace to my grieving family.

I can’t end this write up without mentioning that hundreds of Mohanji Global family members have been with us during this grieving period, giving us their condolences and prayers. Many Acharyas have offered their online chanting and satsang sessions for the smooth transition of my brother’s soul.

All this is because we are one MOHANJI FAMILY! And truly, this has healed us so amazingly.

My heartfelt gratitude to the entire Mohanji Global family.

I offer my pranams and a heart full of gratitude and love to Mohanji, who has kept my family and me in his divine embrace.

Thank you Mohanji.

Kalpataru Series – A prayer from the heart!

Mohanji and Sai

By Dr. Nikita Naredi

You call me and I will be there!” That’s what Mohanji always affirms to his global family. We, with our limited minds, may not fathom the intensity of these words but our experiences help us understand the power of these words. He listens to our every wish with love and fulfills it for us immediately.

I would like to share one such beautiful experience which exhibits only one thing: He is always with us. Life was a bit topsy-turvy at my end and in spite of better acceptance as compared to before, I would get jittery. I really wanted to meet Mohanji physically and take his blessings. I sought permission to meet him on 31st December in Bangalore and hoped by then he would be back after the Mookambika retreat. However, I was told he had some urgent commitments and would not be available during that period. I tried twice but got the same answer. I was sad but I kept praying to him, “I have to meet you. Come what may.”

I was undergoing a painful dental procedure with multiple sessions but that day I kept praying to Mohanji and the session just went off very smoothly. Sitting on the dentist’s chair, I kept remembering him and thinking about how I could meet him.

As soon as I was out of the procedure room, I got a message from Kirti Khandelwal. She asked me to accompany her to Shirdi that weekend as Mohanji was visiting Shirdi and he had asked her to bring me along. What? I could not believe my ears. Don’t know why but I started scrolling down my Whatsapp page and lo and behold, I saw Mohanji’s message asking me to visit him in Shirdi that weekend. Living in Pune, it was very feasible for us. Was it a miracle? Was it a super blessing? It was both. My prayers were answered and when I wrote this to Mohanji, he said you were praying very earnestly, so I had to come. All this has only one connotation: He is with us always; we need to have faith and surrender our wishes to our Master.

Mohanji and Sai 2

The whole visit had been planned for us by the Pune Mohanji family. We had a mesmerising time with our Master, our Guru, our God. There was an impromptu satsang and in spite of his hectic schedule and travelling, He gave us time individually, listening to us, giving us so much love and guiding us with advice among with his blessings, and the most comforting words “I am with you always“. He is always with us indeed.

It doesn’t end here. Being in Shirdi and that too with your Master can only happen with Sai Baba‘s blessings. We wanted to have darshan of Baba at the Samadhi Mandir and thank him for calling us to that blessed soil again. It was already late evening and we knew getting into the Sanctum Sanctorum means a long queue and we had to head back to Pune the same evening. So we decided to have darshan through the Muk Mandir (main entrance), visit Dwarka Mai and return. After the Muk Mandir Darshan, we were not satisfied and longed to be there in front of Baba and again our wish was fulfilled. As we were going inside, we coincidentally met Savitri Aunty, an ardent devotee of Mohanji and an active Ammucare volunteer who had an entrance pass to go inside the temple through the Nandi Dwar which means a cakewalk to the Sanctum. We jumped with joy and elation. Who was orchestrating this? Mohanji? Baba? They are one! We went inside in a jiffy and as we were standing in front of Baba, another bonus awaited us. The steel railing around the Samadhi which is always closed was pulled apart. We stood there, mesmerised. Miracle again….touching Baba’s Samadhi was a big prasad …

With so much joy, happiness and bliss, we returned to the hotel to pick up our bags and have a quick bite at the Ahimsa Vegan café before we started on our way back. The icing on the cake was still left. Mohanji happened to come to the cafe again. He offered us blessings and waved us goodbye with overflowing love like a mother till we could no more see him from our moving vehicle.

My every breath, every cell, is at your lotus feet Mohanji, in deep gratitude.
